Hey folks. Do not know if this is the right place for this question but here goes. Just put a deposit on a 2019 KZ Sportsman LE 250THLE. I am trading a 2012 Work & Play 30WRS which is a great trailer but is just too heavy for my 1/2 ton and I do not want to purchase a bigger truck. My question and concern is quality, I have read a number of negative reviews regarding KZ's service and quality, tell me it ain't so. Really, give me the straight goods. As indicated this might not be the right place as many of you have already drank the cool-aid. Regardless if you can be unbiased give me the straight goods, what do I need to know, be aware of.

If you can find any RV manufacturer that doesn't have any complaints on them then that is what you should buy. As it is right now and IMHO, KZ has the best build quality and customer service in their respective price point. PERIOD. You will find non any better. Your dealer will be the key to good service and you MUST do a thorough and complete pre delivery inspection before you take ownership. I might also ask why put a deposit on something if you already have doubts about it. If you like the trailer you already have then I would be purchasing a different truck not the other way around. As far as Kool-Aid I prefer Grape.

Thanks for the reply. Prior to finding this forum have read a number of negative reviews. Basically am purchasing this trailer as I like the weight and the layout and the dealer is local. As for the other units we have considered they all seem pretty much the same. As for the bigger truck, not going to happen as e live in a small eastern Canadian city which is layed out for small cars and the F-150 is big enough for a daily driver and do not want a 2nd vehicle to use 3 or 4 times per year.

The physical size difference between a Ford F150 and an F250 is a moot point but the overall usability for hauling and trailer towing is huge. Here again JMO.

Welcome. Truck questions and opinions aside, In regard to quality, my KZ is well built. Is it perfectly trimmed? nope. Have any of the critical systems failed? nope. Would I buy another KZ product? Yep. As previously mentioned, a lot depends on your dealer. They need to do a through Pre Delivery Inspection, and you in turn need to inspect their inspection. There is a very thorough PDI checklist here on this site to help guide you.

As stated Kz works hard to provide the best Trailers they can, are there mistakes, yes, no ones perfect, but Kz stands behind their product 150% no questions asked... They stand behind their warranty !!! Like the others I can not say it enough
The Dealer is the make or brake point in trailer sales !!! bad dealer,
bad product do to lack of support, not because the product is bad it's
the dealer who is bad !!!!
Great dealer great product because of support !!!
Don't pick a dealer because they are close, pick a dealer who's service is outstanding an will help you when needed... A bad dealer will seem very nice, the salesman will be your best friend, pat you on the back, promise you the world,
tell you the service department is the best in the country, but then when you want service it will take months to get in, months for your trailer to be repaired, then they will blame it on the MFG when they are the blame ...
The PDI List
Safe Travels

Thanks folks, appreciate your time and words of advice. Hopefully the dealer will work out, no reason at this point to think otherwise. keep in mind not alot of choice as we live on a fairly small island. I'm sure things will be good.
