My new rv fresh water tank is filled by adjusting valves under the sink. I got the tank to start filling by turning one of the valves but when the tank was almost filled, water started pouring out of 2 blue hoses under the coach in the rear. I shut off the silver knob under the sink but all of the tank water emptied out anyway. What are the steps to filling the tank & keeping the water in? Thanks.

Not sure if your Sportsman is the same as my Durango, but on my rig the two blue hoses are the low point drains. If the valves were open, then all water will drain out. Look around for valves on those two hoses.
On my Durango, once the fresh water tank is full, there are two red vent hoses that will start to run. Only way I know that the tank is full. There is an additional red hose with a valve that is the drain for the fresh tank.
Don't think that actually answers your issue, but just food for thought.

There are drain valves but also 2 hoses without valves that start draining as soon as the tank is 1/2 full. I figure it's some sort of method to keep the tank from overfilling. It should hold more than 1/2 a tank though.
