Went to the dealer today and looked again at the 283 while we are waiting for our 271 to be built/delivered.
I saw this in the battery box area in the basement (see attached image). I don't believe that is the LCI MyRV because it does not look like it's offered any longer on the Durango half ton series as an option and was not listed on the equipment sheet separately. And if it is the MyRV device why in the heck would you put it in the basement!!? The auto-leveler control panel was on the other side of the coach on the outside wall (odd place also if you ask me)
Could this actually be a standard feature (MyRV) and just not mentioned in the literature? Ha! Doubt that.

That's what it looks like a MY RV tablet +1 looks like they moved it inside, some where outside. Mine is in the battery box too, but mounted on the door.

So wait, this is the actual MyRV device that controls stuff? I guess it will work OK via the phone but if I am inside the coach it's kinda useless. Could this be for just information like a manual or something? Did they ever make something like that?

I would imagine its probably just the leveling system with the tablet inside. Better picture?

Could this be for just information like a manual or something? Did they ever make something like that? The new style One Control/MY RV tablets are portable. They can be removed from their docking station and used within I think a 90 ft radius of their WiFi transmitter. eliminates the need for redundant controls (read cheaper).
Still not sure if that is in fact what we are looking at. JMO

The auto leveling control panel was on the outside of this same coach on the other side. Not sure why they would have 2 controls for that?
jetzen - NO idea. It's definitely a tablet that looks exactly like the My RV featured LCI product. I guess we'll find out soon when our coach arrives. Heck, ours might not even have that. The strange thing is in the 2019 literature for the Durango Half Ton I see no mention of the LCI My RV. I can't understand why they would do away with it.
You guys that have it, did you also have switches in the coach to turn lights off and on, open awning etc?

I have a 2018 Durango 1500. That controller is in my hallway, it's not portable. I use the app on my phone and it works great. The only light that is controlled by this is under my 5th wheel cap so you can see when hooking up. All other lights are controller by switches. this controller or the app is the only way to open the awning or the slides.. I have never used this controller but seem weird to put it in the battery compartment.

I do have a small remote, though. Be nice to have the phone app instead of trying to remember to charge the remote, though. Lyle

Was this an option on your coaches or part of a mandatory package/standard?

I'm with Edd, if you get the auto level it should be there. If the auto level has a fault you would need this to clear it. I know from experience, learning cure when new. I believe our coach had just about every option available in 2018. We didn't order it, it was on the lot. I just pulled it from Fort Worth to the Grand Canyon and it pulled great. So far no real problems and we have used it a lot so far this season and have several more trips planned in the next few weeks.

mdcamper Our Durango Gold G384RLT has three controllers an the LCI APP as well, one controller in battery box door for front levelers/dollies for dropping trailer an other levelers, one small LED screen to operate slides, all levelers, awnings an cap an large awning lights on the storage door passengers side, an the last small LED screen inside next to the inside pantry that again operates slides, all levelers, awnings an cap an large awning lights the same as what is in the storage area ... As others I'm pretty sure you were looking at the LED screen for the level up system that operate such along with your slide's, awning, awning lights possibly an cap lights if you have them or lights for hooking up ... It looks as if they have consolidated all the outside screens into one unit in the battery box instead of the battery box door an storage area door which I believe is great ...
Looking at rvdude's 384 one year newer than ours I saw the controller for his front dollies where he drops the trailer the controls were on the outside ... I believe he stated he had already replaced the controller because it had gotten wet inside ...

Hello,
I picked up our Durango Half ton 283RLT yesterday. I have the same "monitor" in the same location. It is the OTCP (one touch control pad) screen that gives you the status of the leveling and allows a person to clear faults if one were to occur. I have an auto leveling system on our unit with the mini touchpad located on the opposite side of the unit. One can initiate the leveling from either location. My monitor displays the MyRV icon and the leveling icon. I agree with you that it would have been nice to have it inside the unit and not in the "basement".

My monitor displays the MyRV icon and the leveling icon. I agree with you that it would have been nice to have it inside the unit and not in the "basement". if you read the manual on the LCI level-up system it states for best possible leveling of your unit that no one should be inside, thus some controls on the outside, control pads inside of the battery box or storage compartment of the unit , it is also best
to level before opening slides giving the unit a better foundation when doing so, I believe your manual also states such ...
In our unit we can not operate the awning over the door an lights for that awning or outside security lights everything else we can use the APP or touch screens for ...
I still believe that all controls an touch screens should be placed inside either the battery box or storage compartment out of the weather ... I don't care how well you seal the controls on the outside someday your going to have a water leak an thus a
problem, you may think it covenant to not have to open a door to operate your controls but at least they stay dry an out of the
weather when not being used ...
