I am looking for recommendations on what other folks use to clean the roof?

Generally speaking a mild detergent with a soft brush is what roof manufacturers recommend. Neither approve the use of harsh solvents / thinners or stuff like that. Don't get too carried away scrubbing. Based on your screen name, you picked an excellent floor plan

Spic 'n Span is what a lot of the old-timers have used for decades. A fairly gentle detergent that does work. Some prefer original Dawn liquid, but very dilute. Whatever you do, be d@mn careful when using soap on the roof!

I hire a guy. Being old and on top of a wet RV roof doesn’t sound good to me😉

I've read that cleaning the roof doesn't do anything for longevity, but it does keep dirt off the sides of your RV. It's a good idea to get up there to check for damage and caulking though.

In my paper work that came with our 5TH wheel, in the roof maintenance section it says to use Murphy's Oil Soap. Now with that being said I went and checked that stuff out next time at the store, on the bottle it only makes reference to cleaning wood products. No mention of TPO or any other rubber material. So, with that I have continued using the same car wash soap I've been using for years. Have used Meguires car wash in the purple bottle on three previous 5TH wheels and all my vehicles with no issues. It doesn't hurt the rubber on the vehicles and I've never had a roof issue related to its use on EPDM or TPO roofs. But any mild soap will do with a soft brush, I try not to use dish soap because it will remove any wax it comes in contact with on the sides of the unit, where the car wash liquid doesn't. I too have hired the job out the last two times, wife doesn't like me on the roof anymore. They do the entire unit plus detail my truck. I try to get it cleaned at least once every six months, lots of dust here in the southwest. Happy Campin....
