I have a 2008 315 RK Durango. We love it but I have a few problems. My cable reception in the LR is very snowy but the bedroom reception is perfect. I figure it must be a bad cable wire somewhere between the outside connection and the TV. But how do I access that wire? It seems to be buried in the ceiling or floor. Any ideas?
Also.... my black tank flush hose on the inside of the wall is leaking (pouring out) badly. The line goes from the back of the outside connection "up" an opening but I can not access it to see where it goes. Could the hose have a cut in it? Or is there a fitting that may have blown? How do I get to it? Yes, I have two access problems. Thanks

the tv goes to where the antenna amplifier power is located then into a splitter to the other outlets. I would check the cable ends to see if they are bad. Easyest way to run new cable is from the bottom...still not easy but easier. As for the black tank flush...they have a vaccuum break installed that will be higher than the hose connection...this is designed to stop water from flowing back into the supply hose with cantamination. It may have cracked from being frozen as many forget to blow it out. If you do not get your answers here contacy Marty Yoder the service manager at the factory...1-800-768-4016 ext 145. He's a great guy...as are everyony I met at KZ

Thanks for the tips on my problems. I did check the amplifier source. While removing the wiring from behind the wall, some wires came undone from the wire nut and I also noticed that some wires (re/white) did not seem to be connected at all. Is that correct? When I put the wires together, it sparked and now I do not have a green light go on when I push the booster button. Now what? Any help is appreciated. I will check on that vacuum check valve too.

Many newer Durangos are also wired for satellite, and those may not be connected. As for your specific issue with the booster, It's "I dunno" for me. Try the contact that spadoctor suggested.

We had an07 Montego Bay and in ours the TV in the bedroom had a poor quality picture and I got some GOOD quality splitters and replaced the cheap ones KZ installed and that fixed everything.

If your Durango is pre-wired for satellite like my Stoneridge Sportster, there is a pair of wires hanging behind the monitor panel (orange/white and plain white). These wires run up to and are taped to the coaxial cable on the roof that goes to the bedroom TV. They are intended to supply 12 volts DC from the panel to the antenna. Note that the sketch supplied by KZ does not mention these 12 volt wires - I called the factory and a tech there told me about them.
In fairness to KZ, this setup makes it very simple to connect a Winegard MiniMax or Solution dome-type satellite antenna. The hardest part was scraping off enough of the sealant goop so I could pull up the BR coax to get to the 12 volt wires.

The vacuum breaker in my tank flusher was leaking as well. Water was expelled behind the kitchen drawers. Turns out that some water is expected to be expelled by design. The breaker is to be mounted in a place that would not be harmed by water. From the website of the manufacturer: www.bandbmolders.com/pdf/B_BCatalog_WaterSection.pdfATMOSPHERIC VACUUM BREAKER/ CHECK VALVE (571 Vac Chk) must be 6” above flood rim of the highest fixture connected to the wasteholding tank. (ASSE 1001-02; device shall not be installed where the venting of water from the device during normal functioning will cause damage.) I just eliminated the stupid thing.
