Been lurking on the forum before purchasing a slightly used 17 366FBT Gold, reading all the comments on any issues I felt confident with the decision. Have some mod's that need to be done, but first is the MoRryde StepAbove Steps & JT Strong Arm's. I live in the unit so these are a must and are being ordered this week. Look forward to reading post and comments about different things in the future.

Welcome, and enjoy your rig. I've been very pleased with my DG. If you are stationary I would build steps, if not the MorRyde are great!

If you are stationary I would build steps, if not the MorRyde are great! I agree... I had a porch on my old stationary 5th wheel which I really liked. Since I now use the trailer for traveling and living, I do really miss my porch.

Thanks RVDude, I made mine where you can slide them over when you want to move. Actually one person can scoot them, but easier with two. They are sturdy enough for daily use without being cemented in. Just an idea for the group.

I have been thinking of a way I could do that but haven't had the time to pursue it. Thanks for the idea.

Great idea Johnr, thanks! I may look in to that in the future, fortunately I don't move it that much and there is always someone around to lend a hand at the park.

Got the steps on yesterday afternoon, love them. The dog was a little confused coming out after though. LOL. Bobcat, I am stationary but we are planning on heading to the Carolina's soon for work, we do disaster recovery and currently staying in Houston. I have built steps in the past for other Rv's that stayed parked for a long amount of time and that is really the way to go. I might look at that in the near future when we are set up for a while. Currently I am waiting on the silly adapter lugs for my Strong Arms due to the hydraulic 6 point leveling system. You would think LCI would send those parts with the kit, being they are both their products. Other than that we love the new unit, it was a substantial upgrade from the 05 motor home we were living in since January 1st.

Glad you like the idea! Thanks for supporting the storm recovery, as I am a native Houston area person myself and fortunately did not float away last year. Kudos to you! Enjoy your new rig, I love mine. Safe travels
