My husband and I are seriously leaning towards buying a 2019 Escape 201bh. This will be our first RV purchase, so we have a lot of questions. One of the questions is related to roofs. Does this model have an aluminum roof? Are aluminum roofs durable or are they problematic? We really like the Winnebago micro Minnie that was similar, however it doesn't have a sink in the bathroom. Are there big differences in quality of construction between the Winnebago and the KZ, as far as walls, floors, roofs? Also someone on this forum posted to stay away from a certain KZ dealer that was represented at the Hershey RV show. Does anyone know who that dealer is? I think there are only three dealers in Pennsylvania that sell KZ.

i have a 196s model with a alumium roof, not sure if thats good or bad, 3 years in so far and no problems yet on mine. i bought mine at a KZ dealer in Western Pa, huffnegel/Majors in Harmony PA

Aluminum roofs have been around since forever. I have a feeling that you do not see them much anymore because of the expense of installation on the longer trailers. We have had no issues with our aluminum roof but I would hesitate walking on one.

Read the Good an Bad dealers on this site, that should givee you some indication of who to buy from ... I have read here on the form that a KZ dealer in Western Pa, huffnegel/Majors in Harmony PA was pretty good but only know about such from reading here on the form ... I would not ever walk on an aluminum roof, that's the reason they do not put ladders on trailers that have such  Good luck an Safe Travels Chuck |
