Looking for recommendations on which DISH system works best for camping in our trailer.
Thanks!

I use a Tailgater & Wally receiver, been from NM,WA,ID,IL,WI,OK,TX and states between and works well as long as you have a view of the south sky. If you travel you'll want the MyDish app. With it you can change location via your phone & get local channels. They also have a Traveler antenna, roof mount. The Tailgater will only work with one TV. There are antennas that will do two with two receivers. I went portable so I can move the antenna IF I had an obstruction, normally trees, that the traveler won't get around. I also don't watch much TV in the bedroom so went single connection antenna.

I have the Traveler, it works great. And I use a Hopper, despite what Dish says won't work.

I have the Playmaker and Wally set up to feed both TVs. Of course they must both play the same Dish channel, but either one has the option to choose an over the air station as well. I have picked up satellites in almost total tree cover by moving the dish around till a small opening is found. Here in Penn's Woods (Pennsylvania) a mounted dish would not do well. A satellite locator app on a smartphone is a big help, but they aren't extremely accurate and are only good to get you close. One thing that bugs me is that the system needs reauthorized if there is a period of non-use, so I need to remember to set it up at home before a trip because cell service may not be possible where I go.

Lynnmor is right about tree issues with an installed system on the roof. That's where the "dome" type dishes are very much necessary. There are some that can provide 2 feeds, but they are pretty pricey. And he's right about non use will require calling or use the "my dish" smart phone app to get it going. The other nice thing that Dish does is allow you to turn your receiver on or off at any time thus saving money when not in use. Joe

Just had an after thought. If you have Dish at home, the Mobile unit is only $7 extra each month.

Just had an after thought. If you have Dish at home, the Mobile unit is only $7 extra each month. PLUS, the Tailgater is able to be moved around depending how many trees are around you, An antenna on the roof is not much good camping with shade trees all around your roof!
AND the $7.00 can be removed by having Dish, turn off the receiver when not camping, like in winter or downtime!
