Wow! I've never seen that before. Could it possibly be that another vehicle slung a rock or something from it's tire that just happened to land there?

rvdude, it possibly could have been a rock or something, but that would be really weird for it to hit the side of the trailer right on the window, or the edge of it, and cause the window to shatter. I was thinking racking in the slide due to road conditions or something - or maybe a faulty glass pane to begin with?

I have heard of tempered glass just shattering due to internal stress that comes from the tempering process. It could have been the sun hit it and warmed one area more than another, a rock from another vehicle or a kid with a sling shot...Either way it stinks that it happened, but I like your fix.

Given the state of a$$holishness on the road, wouldn't surprise me if someone tossed something, but I think it was just bad glass. Was it on the sunny side as you were traveling? Like the temp fix, though.

In our old Class C we had a window shattering while sitting in our driveway, couldn't figure it out, thought maybe neighbor might have shot it out while shooting at crows but no round was found an broken glass was all around the ground outside the window not inside ... I then thought maybe a bird had flown into it, no feathers found, then thought maybe space junk had hit it but nothing on the ground either, nothing there, glass guy said like nvguy more than likely it was temper glass problem Ugh ...
