I'm actually talking about the 160watt panel with the converter etc. The pre-wiring is ok for future use etc.

Mine came with factory solar and it's nicely done. I think the solar controller does a better job of regulating the charge than the converter does. It's also nice to not have to worry about keeping it plugged in. For us, the KZ offered the best value / bang for the buck, don't be dazzled with a lot of gee-gaws and fluff. We ended up with more 5th wheel than we originally planned on, (I think most people do) but it's better to get what you want, than to wish you had.

Sounds like it might be worth keeping on the build. Trying to work a deal out now. We'll see how it goes.

Do you know what brand the panel is and the controller? Trying to decide tonight if what they provide is worth another almost $1k!

The panel is a Carmanah, the controller is a Go Power 30A.

Do you think this produces enough power to keep a residential style fridge going over a long period of time?
Still going back and forth on RV fridge vs. Residential.
We will be boon docking for days at a time occasionally.

mdcamper Personally if I were going to be boon-docking days at a time I would choose the RV frig not the residential... Like I said in another post the only difference is you have to make your own Ice in trays, they are both the same size an making your own Ice is not a big deal to me ... Safe Travels Chuck

Looks like we get roof prep for satellite and solar.
I doubt we will ever get satellite though but I guess you never know.
We have our fingers crossed that we get a good coach with no/few problems.

To run a residential fridge, you will have to have a lot more solar power, as well as a big battery bank. Just off the top of my head, I think it will be tough to run a fridge off just solar.

Anyone have any idea what this means?
1/2 Bath Cap. (gal.) 60
I see it on all of the Durango half-tons specs. None of which have a 1/2 Bath.

I sure wish this thing had a bigger gray water tank for sure. But it's 22.5 gallons more then we had before so maybe we can get an extra day or 2 when not at full hook ups.
