looking for a easier way to clean, and keep it clean awning solution, tried srubbing it with bleach/water mixture, mean green, and soft scrub before . it gets somewhat clean, but after storing it for 2 weeks, it looks bad when i unroll it again, especially after a rain storm. this past time i did a bleach, water and dawn dish soap mixture, pumped it on with a spray bottle, rolled it up for about a hour, then re opened it and hosed it off, it came somewhat clean except for a few stubborn stains that dont seem to come out. just wondering how others clean, and maintain there awning, especially during storage times.

vagov I use the bleach, water and dawn dish soap mixture with a soft bush, I do not roll the awning up, leave it dry while open ... On the ruff steins I do spray on the same mixture but up the bleach mix in it allot, say 1/4 bottle of bleach to 3/4 dawn then I let it sit for a few minutes an then scrub it again, this 9 out of 10 times works .... Caution: when using the second mixture I do not let it sit on the awning spot more than 3 or 4 minutes no longer an sometime a bit shorter if it's a small spot, I repeat if spot is still there ... Some spots are pretty tough LOL Safe travels Chuck

I use Tilex mold and mildew spray cleaner. I just spray it on, roll up the awning and let it stand for 15 to 20 minutes, unroll the awning and then spray it down with the garden hose. Works real well for me but then we have pretty mild weather where we live. Keeping the rain water out is a different issue.
