I have encountered a problem filling the fresh water tank. On our old Class A (HR Endeavor) the fresh water tank could be filled from either the City Water connection or via a gravity fill. When full, the overflow line was at the gravity fill connection. I tried to fill the fresh water tank on the Montego Bay (2007 36'), and I am starting to wonder if it even has an overflow line. In filling it, I actually bowed the kitchen floor a bit as the tank apparently was full and there was no overflow water coming out of anywhere. Fortunately, the bow went back down after I drained the tank a bit.
There is Nothing in the owner's manual. (VERY POOR owner's manual compared to my HR I must say)I know where the low point drains are, and have used them, although they are not labeled hot and cold, I was able to figure which was which. I looked under the RV, and I can see 2 hoses/lines with what almost look like air pressure fittings in a T shape, coming thru the belly cover, one of which had a few drips coming from it. I thought I had read that the tank is likely air-vented thru the roof - is that so?
A. Does, anyone know if this unit does in fact have an overflow line?
B. If not, how do you go about knowing when the tank is full so you can shut the water off and not burst the tank, or worse? All I have are idiot lights showing E to Full which I am not certain are either working or are not accurate? Does someone need to stand by that guage and watch as you fill?
C. if the two lines/T's I found are overflows, why didn't water come out once the tank was filled - other then a few drops?
Thank you in advance for any advice you can give me.
