Anyone had any luck in upgrading the Thermostat on Sporttrek Touring 336VRK? The temp swings on the mechanical stats is terrible.

ronc upgraded to digital thermostats and likes them. They are just like what came in the trailer, except they are digital.

This is the thermostat I use. It's virtually plug and play. All the wire colors match up.

This link takes you to the Coleman Mach Thermostat that I have. There are two different kinds ... one that will control the furnace and AC and one that ONLY controls the AC. They are a wire for wire match to the analog (sliders) and will control the temp to plus or minus 1 degree of set point. If you set AC at 75 it will come on at 76 and turn off at 74. WAY better than analog ... IMO.<style></style>

Could someone post a model number for the digital thermostat? The link is dead.

You can also use a $20 model from home depot. They worked great on our previous camper. Runs off 2 AAA batteries.

The Coleman Mach direct replacement does not use batteries ... but the display is NOT illuminated, so that is a minor downside.
