Hello from Green Country in Northern Oklahoma. I just bought my first new RV the end of July this year. I am so ready to hit the road for an adventure in RV’ing but I have so many concerns such as traveling to a warmer climate during the winter. How to find the more desirable campsites while traveling. Finding good winter campsites. None the less, my new Sport Trak and I are ready to camp, camp, camp. Any and all ideas will be appreciated. Thank you Sonny

Welcome to the forum!!
A lot of good advice will be found in these folders on traveling and overall trailer maintenance/repair.
Finding a good campground could be hit or miss. A lot of trial and error will be involved. What is essential to you may not be to someone else. A 50amp glamper with a 40+ft 5th wheel is going to have different "wants/requirements" than a boondocker. Also a "10" rated campground in the spring and fall could easily turn into a big zero in the summer because of over demand.
You best bet is to always carry a Woodalls campground guide and to have the Goodsam and KOA app on you smartphone. Other good apps to have is Gas Buddies, Pilot and Cracker Barrel.
Hope this helps and I am sure others will chime in.

Welcome to the Kz form an Family sonny ...
As jetzen stated what the DW an I want as far as camp sites etc may be different that what you want or other may want
We use an belong to Good Sam an use their web site to pick camp grounds, we pick camp grounds with a rating of 8 or more across the board an have not had any problems so far ... We also camp at KOA's, we try to find Venture KOA parks because they are cheaper, the more things for kids an families with KOA the more it cost ... We also use RV Parky as well to find camp sites with good rating an in locations we want to visit, you will find out the near cities the coast goes up an harder to find camp sites ... Also the nearer to water parks, national monuments, battle grounds the hard it is to find a camp site an the price goes up ...
As well the hook-ups cost more the more you want, full hook=up (water, sewer, power, cable) cost more, were hook=ups like only power an water cost less, also pull thought cost more than back-in sites etc ...
If you belong to the Good Sam Club you get 5 cents off fuel at Pilot an Fly J truck stops, but most times the truck stops are higher priced on fuel that the local gas stations ... We as a rule of thumb try to fuel while disconnect form the trailer thus we can pull in most anywhere an get the cheaper fuel in town, we also use "GAS BUDDY" App to do so ....
I'm sure more of the form members will chim in on this subject, but always remember if you have a question ask away, someone will more than likely have an answer or at least steer you in the right direction ....
Safe travels an again Welcome the Kz form an Family
Chuck

Congratulations on your new trailer and welcome to the forums. Everything said by the previous 2 posters is very true. Another way to get cheaper campground stays is Passport America. For a fee each year, you get half price stays at campgrounds that are part of Passport America. If you are a Good Sam or AAA member there will be a 5% or 10% discount at some campgrounds. And, if you pay with cash you can get a discount at some places as well. The more "things" you look for in a campground, the more $$$ you will pay (pool, hot tub, lakefront or riverfront sites, wifi, cable tv, etc. Good luck and safe travels, and as already stated if you have any questions at all just ask away... somebody will be able to help answer them.

Welcome to the site and the RV world. As you have seen, lots of good info here, so feel free to ask any questions. I like RV Park Reviews.com but its always a good idea to check various web sites to make sure one web site hasn't been filled with troll reviews (either overly negative or positive).
