I am thinking about putting some kind of Air Ride Suspension on my 2011 2500HD Silverado short bed . When I hook up to my 5th wheel it it seems like the truck really wants to go down. Any suggestions on what to be looking for. Thanks

Firestone airbags work well for my 2003 silverado HD short bed chevy.I installed them my self several years ago. I realy like them. I have used them with a slide-in and also my 2012 E170S Travel trailer. Happy camping. Gary.

I have a Silverado 1500 and tow a 28' TT with my motorcycle in the bed at times. I put the Firestone airbags on myself in the driveway. They work great! I had them on an older Suburban too and was always happy. The one thing I can say is get yourself some heavy duty rubber hosing and run the airline they supply in the kit inside it as much as possible to keep it from getting damaged. I would consider where you live before making the decision to go with the standard kit or the one with the compressor. The reason I say that is if you live in an area that has harsh winters where they use salt, in my opinion, you would not want the compressor as the salt takes a toll on them and they become almost a yearly to bi-annual costly replacement. I order my kit from jc whitney as they were the cheapest. Took me about 2.5 hours to install. Good luck and happy camping!
