Friends of ours has a 336 Grandtouring and while camping their blackwater tank collapsed and fell down to the ground. They were able to get it fixed under warranty while on vacation. Knowing this I decided to inspect ours and found out the tanks were held in with one screw and a metal clip against the tank edges. I bought plumber strap and rubber bicycle tires and put two straps under the the tanks so I would this problem. I cut inspection holes in the clorofast and then sealed them with ZIP tape when finished.
Anyone else had this problem?

Not specifically, but I travel with empty tanks whenever possible. I only carry 20-30 gals in the fresh water tank to provide for in route bathroom breaks, etc.

To be clear, the tank fell through while in a park not travelling down the road. I took precautions to avoid the issue.

I agree in many case's better strapping should be used, but like all other MFG's the standard was met an nothing extra to make it safer was added do to cost Ugh !!!
This is were at the rally's an else were owners need to step up to the plate an tell the MFG that they need to go above an beyond what is standard in the name of safety not because it cost more
