Before you go to the expense of changing out to a residential refrigerator be aware they will have to pull your slide to get the
old one out an the new in along with put in an inverter ...
If you do not think your refrigerator is getting cold enough you might try doing this, look on the metal fins in your refrigerator,
you will see a sensor attached to one of the fins, you can move this sense up an down on the fin or place it to another fin to change the temp in your refrigerator an even in the freezer ...
One of the Kz Rv Techs told Edd505 about this an I had forgotten about it from last year when told, Edd changed his an the temp dropped from 45 to 40 degrees over night by just moving the sensor to the third fin from the left ... So I would try this
before spending a ton of money replacing your RV frig to a residential... Of course if your like me an if your unhappy with
something I like you might look elsewhere, I would change something like you I would replace something as well within reason if it was my means of cost

I also have a 384 and our first trip out the refs didn't seem to cool very well and collected water in it, two things wrong first the drain tube was blocked and second the left refg door has a hinged divider that is supposed to move forward when you close the door and then the right door would seal against it. well the divider didn't move forward and always left a gap so the refg didn't cool. I had to raise the doors to get it to work correctly, was easy to do by putting a SS washer on the lower hinge of each door to raise them and now the divider moves forward and the door seals and cools very well. Worth looking at to make sure thats not your issue.

I'll add to what chuck said on the temp. The tech also removed the upper vent cover where you will find a baffle to direct the air flow out. That baffle does not go the full width of the area so he use high expansion foam on either side to stop the warm air flow from getting on top of the baffle. The two mods dropped my fridge temp to 28 in the box and we had to reset the temp setting from 9 to 5. The fridge now holds 40-42 in the box we have not checked the freezer yet.

Added note, our drain was also blocked an cleared by one of the Kz techs, even thought our frig worked alright, I again changed the sensor a little but an it helped the temp a tad bit Thank you Edd for reminded me of something I had forgotten Safe Travels Chuck

The main reason my wife doesn't like the norcold is because the freezer keeps iceing up and constantly needs to be defrosted.a couple other items on the trailer is I have a loud squeak in the floor in front of the bed and The pocket door has the screws coming loose that hold the rail up. The screws work loose and drop down and blocks the wheels on the door from opening. Their is no way of getting to the screws toward the back of the door. I appreciate everybody's response. Thanks Jerry

We also have the 384. We also have the squeak in the floor at the end of the bed. Tech said the floor wasn't properly attached. We have a temporary fix (they wedged a pry bar in). This winter they will go in and screw the floor down properly.
I have noticed one of the sliding closet doors a little stiff when I try to open it. Haven't gotten too far into trying to figure that one out. And if you've seen my other posts, we've had a leaking water hose under the dishwasher. That took a while to find as it was a small leak at first. I don't think the clamp was tighten onto the hose like it should have been.
We have the residential refrigerator and I love it. We had a rv refrigerator in our last camper and it didn't keep things as cold and there was a lot of frost in the freezer. The ice maker is a nice option option as well.
Believe it or not, even with the issues we've been working through we really love the camper.

The sliding closet doors have adjustment screws on the bottom. close the door on opposite ends so they do not latch. Is the long/tall end square with the wood frame? Stand inside the closet and adjust until the long/tall end of the door is square with the wood frame all the while sliding the door back and forth checking for smooth travel. Also check for debris in the door tracks like carpet fiber and stones.

However I have found that when the pocket doors are hard/stiff to slide one of the rollers is off the track making the door bind. Not saying that is what is wrong just telling you of my experiences.
When the screws come loose in the tracks especially in the "pocket" area you will need a long flexible 1/4" drive extension and a I do believe a square cabinet bit to reach them. They can be a real pain.

We pulled the norcold and replaced with 18 cubic ft sansung. I was able to get both in and out of the door. We did it in one day. I went ahead and installed a 1700 watt inverter for the fridge and entertainment ctr. I also added another 12 volt rv battery. It works well. I now need to figure out what to do with the old fridge. Thanks everybody for your help. Jerry
