My trailer has two recessed halogen puck lights in the slide out dinette ceiling on a single switch. I've seen numerous direct replacement LED bulbs on line with mixed reviews. The halogen bulbs are really too bright for me but I don't want it too dark either. Anyone tried any of these LED replacements? Do you like them?

I replaced the halogens with the same led lights that KZ uses. They seem to be just as bright. I like the fact that they don’t get so hot, those halogens seem like a fire hazard. Also, the leds use far less battery power.

You replaced the whole light? Where did you find them and did they fit the hole? I've also seen the LED lights but I'm not sure how they they are measured. The can size is 3" with the trim closer to 4" on mine, is that considered a 3" light?

I was at a KZ rally and they handed me the lights there. I was looking to just swap out the bulbs, but the halogens were an odd size and there were no good fits. Pull out the entire lamp and measure the hole, then find the lights that fit that hole. They might be something like this: link

Thanks for the link lynnmor, That light looks just like the halogen lights I have. I did a search with better terms and I'm sure I can find what i want. I took a chance and ordered a couple of LED bulbs that are "supposed to fit" first as these lights have springs that would hold up 50lbs. and I'm afraid of destroying the ceiling panel. If the bulbs don't work I will make a brace to support the ceiling so I don't pull it down with the lights. Thanks for the help.
