We've got a 2017 Connect 260RKS with a quick connect LP connection under the curb side, but no grill mounting rail. I'd like to install a rail on the outside wall above the quick connect. Anyone have any experience with this? Is this a DIY job, or do I need to have a dealer do it? Last thing I want to do is damage the wall or anything behind it.
Thanks for any help you can give!

Unless you know that there is special reinforcement inside the wall, I would forget that project. Grills can be attached to the bumper, be free standing or set on a picnic table, all of which I would prefer over adding a hot appliance to an RV wall.

Agreed, I was never comfortable with having a hot BBQ hanging on the side of a coach. To easy for bad things to happen. Plus reducing holes in the sidewall is a good thing. If your local KZ dealer doesn't have any ideas other than sidewall mounting, try another, as these BBQ's (IIRR: Flame King is the brand) are somewhat generic in the RV industry.

I appreciate your help. The replies make a lot of sense. I’m waiting to hear back from my KZ dealer. Camping World would do it for $210, which is more than I paid for the grill! I’ll check into the bumper mount. That may be my best option. Thanks again!

Be aware that Camping World is the training ground for RV Techs, you can read tons of comments regarding such on different RV forms an even the Good Sam Form it's self I for one as well as many others would not even pull our trailers any were near a Camping world for repairs or service, but that is my opinion, other may feel different ...
