Had taken it out for a couple of weekend trips but this was our first extended (2 weeks) use, so everything really needed to work !
Everything went great. No major issues. Drove around 3500 miles (Denver-Banff-Vancouver-Oregon-Denver).
I'm really happy with the layout. I can load everything AND use the bathroom with the slideout in. That was one of the main reasons for going with this model. Having the counter space when cooking was a big help as well. It pulled great. Driving through Idaho we were hitting 100 degree temps. When I stopped for gas, I touched the tires to see how hot they were getting (travelling at around 70MPH) and I was surprised at how cool they were to the touch. And I don't see any wear issues so I think everything is aligned fairly well. I was a little concerned about that.
The Banff and Vancouver campgrounds were both w/out any hookups. I tend to worry about the holding tanks having the correct readings but I know as along as I don't use more than a full tank of water, I can't run out of space in either the gray or black tank. It's just my daughter and myself, so not really an issue.
All in all, it was a very enjoyable time and I can't wait to get back out there !
I'm very happy with my purchase !
Oh....one minor issue. The kitchen faucet leaks a little. around the base. There's a sleeve at the base of the faucet that unscrews, so I took it apart to see if there was anything that needed tightening but couldn't find anything. I'm going to put some Teflon tape where the sleeve screws on and see if that fixes is.

Glad It all went well for the 2 of you. Is there a washer/o-ring at the base? If so take it to your local hardware and get something just a wee bit bigger.

Gosh, I'm frustrated. We've only taken our KZ Connect out twice and we've never been able to get the system to run from the batteries. It will work from shore electric and from the truck's batteries but not from the batteries on the trailer. Also, we are trying to put water in the holding tank and can't get it to hold water. It is like something is stopping it. Finally, the refrigerator isn't working. Can anyone help us with anything?

What is it when connected to shore power? How are you trying to fill the water tank? Gravity fill with a hose squirting in? Pressure fill thru the city water inlet? Do you have 12 volt power to the refrigerator? Does the stove burners light?

I have a different model, but recently had to replace the auto-reset circuit breaker that is mounted about 1 foot from the battery. The symptoms to what you are experiencing (with the electrical system) were similar. You may want to check yours (if you have one).

Regarding your electrical problems - we have a different model but recently had to replace the auto-reset circuit breaker. It is located about about 1 foot from the battery on the +12V side. Our symptoms were similar to what your are describing.

You're not trying to put water in via the same place where it connects for water hook ups right ? I mean you know there is a separate place to fill the tanks ?

You're not trying to put water in via the same place where it connects for water hook ups right ? I mean you know there is a separate place to fill the tanks ? For several years KZ did have pressure fill systems, where you opened a valve to allow water to flow to the fresh water tank. I doubt that the OP has this system, but unless he gets back to us we can't help. As a side note, I had that faulty system, that spilled water, and now have it highly modified to allow gravity fill, pressure fill, external tank usage and tank fill from an external container. I didn't need to add expensive parts and the original pump does the work as needed.

I think you sent me a diagram of that, but it was above my skill level As a side note, when I was growing up, our TT had one opening for water. You could pour it in or hook up a hose. There was no pump (nor battery for that matter). We had to use a bicycle tire pump each time we filled up the tank.

Glad you enjoyed your new trailer. We also bought a new C241RLK and spent almost 3 weeks in Wyoming and Montana. We enjoyed the trailer immensely and no problems except first day had an A/C wire come loose but was diagnosed and fixed easily by a local dealer in west Nebraska. We really like the rear living arrangement. One thing I am changing is the access to the slideout. I like to check the top of the slideout before retracting to make sure there is no debris to damage the seals. However, the ladder is a little narrow for my use on a regular basis. I therefore bought a telescoping ladder that has a much higher capacity and telescopes down to a small size. I can leave it extended to 8' and bungee to the tongue or rear platform for easy access. I can now inspect the top of the slideout much quicker and with more confidence of not falling. We are looking forward to some fall trips.

I bought one of those ladders as well ! As far as the top of the slide out is concerned, I'm considering buying a solera slider topper. the campground in your picture....where is that ? It looks nice.

It was a nice campground. It was at Shoshone National Forest on the east side of Yellowstone. I'm thinking about one of those slider toppers also; I read good things about them.
I'm curious; the 241 RKL indicates it is 24' front to back of the living area without the tongue. Have you measured yours? I measured almost 26'; the salesman was even surprised. Also, have you done actual tongue weight measurements? I measured 600# on a certified scale. The weight includes two tanks of full propane, no water or wastewater. Specs call 560# which is really close since they weight without propane. My trailer with propane, spare tire, rear luggage rack, no water or wastewater weighs 6,120#. The trailer sticker shows 5.600# unloaded with a 580# tongue weight. Tongue weights are very close to my scale but empty weight is 520# difference.

Wow. That's interesting. I haven't measured or weighed it, but I'm going out to the RV storage lot this weekend for some other stuff so I'll check it out. I wonder if the length is based on the back to the front at the bottom (which is shorter than the full length All I can tell you is that it seems longer every time I look at it !
Before I purchased this I had rented a 27' Apex last summer. I think the dry weight was around 4700. When I was looking to purchase, I didn't want to go too far above that. I was pulling with a half ton Chevy that was rated for 9600 which should be more than enough, but I still wanted to keep it as close to 5,000 as possible, so the 5600 was a stretch for me at the time. If I knew it was really over 6,000, I may not have even considered it. (I have since upgraded to the Turbo Diesel, so it's not much of an issue any more). But over 500 pounds is a pretty big difference.

I could reduce some of the weight by excluding my normal travel items such as sewer hoses, level blocks, water hoses, etc. However, if wouldn't make a huge difference and they are required items. If you get weighed, I would really be interested in your results. I measured the cabin at the longest length, just above the outside access door.
When I was looking for a new trailer (lots of brands and dealers) I was amazed at the things they would tell me which I knew to be untrue. I sometimes wonder if they ever read their own brochures. I am a structural engineer and pay attention to all those little details (My wife says to the extreme sometimes) but it sure helps. When I was looking, the weight of the trailer, hitch weight and combined weight of my tow vehicle was very important. Between the trailer and tow vehicle (set up as if traveling but without personal items or water); I am at the practical gross weight limit. However, I am quite a bit under the allowable towing weight for my Tahoe and substantially under the tongue weight.
Speaking of tongue weights. Since my vehicle is fairly short, even with a 800# distribution hitch, I would still get a little bounce. My hitch allowed me to buy stiffer torsion bars so I bought the next size up, 1000#. Last night I had a chance to hook up and test drive; it helped quite a bit and I can even make it stiffer if needed.
Your turbo diesel truck sounds like you can pull about anything your heart dreams! We pulled through the mountains this summer and the Tahoe was feeling the load but I never felt it was struggling and I could keep a good speed up. There were a few rare exceptions when it was very, very windy but overall had no problems.

Again Check for a fuse on the plus side of the battery, when doing your PDI they should have shown you how to fill your fresh water tank but if they didn't I would take it back to the dealer or find a Kz dealer who will show you how to do this ... The Kz dealer other than your selling dealer may not repair your trailer but i'm sure they will show you how to solve your water problem an where the fuse is
Good luck an please let us all know how you solved your problems so others my benefit from such
Safe Travels
