I recently purchased a 2016 Vision 20RBS. The shower pan has no support in the front half where the drain is. It flexes a lot when in use. Is this common or was something left out from the factory?

I would say common, they simply hack out space for the plumbing without regard for support. I had to replace broken drain plpes and install support thru the access panel, not a fun job.

What you could do is spray in some low expansion foam for support. Spray foam or grout are sometimes used under shower pans in houses. Don't use regular foam otherwise you could end up causing damage. Don't block access to the drain tho.
I have read of the occasional report of a shower pan in an RV cracking but don't know what's in your particular model.

Update. I pulled the access panel today. The plywood support for the shower pan was never screwed down to the 2x4s and had slid to the rear of the trailer. I think it will be a simple fix, but what shoddy workmanship. Thanks

We cut a few 4x4's and placed them snuggly between the plywood floor and plywood shower pan support where there were no support pieces. No more flex.

Same problem, 2015 Vision RBS purchased recently. Shower pan has very little support, support is not attached to anything, and pan very spongy. Should have never left the factory that way! Will install supports.
