I have a 2013 KZ Classic 14' which weighs 2400lbs. Just bought a 2018 F150 wit 2.7L V6. Dealer ordered electric indash TPC brake controller but it backordered with no ETA. Can I safely tow without this? Thx. Ed

Ed I would not tow a trailer without a brake controller, not safe at all !!! You should be able to buy a cheap after market brake controller till your new one come in ... They can connect it to the same plug under your dash that your one from the Ford Dealer will put in ...
Remember it's all about safety for you, your family an the people traveling around you, if you have to stop quickly an have no trailer brakes your 1/2 pickup may not have enough braking power to stop you, thus you camping trip now becomes a disaster because you rear ended the guy that stop short in front of you Ugh !!!
Safe travels

That is a very light trailer and most states do not require brakes for that weight. Would I recommend towing without brakes? Nope. Would I do it? Yep. Your truck will handle it just fine, but of course braking distance will be a bit longer, just like it would be if you loaded the bed to the maximum allowed.

I have the identical trailer. Towing it without a brake in the state where I live would be illegal. Even if it were legal I wouldn't do it.

Thanks to all. Got in-dash Ford e-brake installed. Looks and works great. Off to Amazon for another year of Camperforce seasonal work for 4 months. VR Ed
