Let me tell ya some good advice.....
We bought an 03 KZ New Vision in aug of 2016. It had great tires just like new tread. Well those brand new tires weren't so brand new. One exploded at 70 mph. Replaced all 4. Guess what those great looking plenty of tread tires were from like the year 2002, a nnd were oem on trailer. Great tread but sidewalls not so good. Tire stores can look up serial numbers and tell you year of manufacture. I was lucky, talked to many who ended in ditch or rolled blowing ONE tire. One said it broke the axle and when tire expolded. High pressure in those tires!

Anyone can quickly find the age of their tires. linkMost trailer tires have a maximum speed of 65 MPH, some made in the last few years have a higher speed rating, you were going too fast. Depending how the tires are stored, replacement may be needed in less than five years.

I'm very surprised it never had tire change in 15 years. As far as 70mph goes I usually try to get it going 70+ on the downhill when another hill is coming next because a small incine will drop speed draatucally. Like below 60 without a good run at it. Otherwise, 65 is my average speed.

One more thing. When tire blew it destroyed the aluminum fender. I was told I'd prolly need to have one made and painted at sheet metal shop. This was not goin to be an easy task. After exhausting my options I called Noble RV in Owatonna, Mn. Guess what KZ actually still has some of those fenders (actually called, "lower trim") still in stock in warehouse. Amazing for a 15yo part to be available. Any way it was only $295. 00

rudycat, how did you get in touch with KZ? I just ripped mine up a couple weeks ago. I called Noble RV. BUT, not sure the are KZ dealers. Their parts guy called KZ personally, or, a guy he knows who knows where to look. Wouldn't have ever found a fender as it's not a fender those are a piece of plastic. Lower trim is aluminum and just happens to be on my slideout and just happens to be a fender too. Although it aint.... it is lower trim. Look at my pic, the gold around bottom is aluminum lower trim. I never woulda matched the gold paint. Now it comes new and gold painted!
