Last year, there was a thread about making sure you lock your trailer hitch as well as using a lock for the receiver to prevent anyone from screwing with it while your at a rest stop or something.
I thought that was pretty good advice although I was already doing it, but it got me to thinking about the brakes so I have 2 questions:
A) If you are at a rest stop or gas station with the vehicle turned off, can someone walk by and yank on the break away switch cable and activate the trailer brakes ?
B) If for some reason they do get activated, how do you re-set them ?

Hi, yes someone can walk by and pull the cable to activate the brakes. The brakes will operate on battery power.
Where the cable attaches to the camper, there's a little plastic plug. To re-set them all you need to do is put the plastic plug back into the hole.

Yep I agree with johnr, but if you have a lock on the 5th wheel preventing it from being pulled an they pull the trailer break away switch you trailer is still connected but just the brakes are locked ...
The other is much, much more disaster's do to the fact the trailer could have caved in the bed rails of your truck when dropped or worse yet noise down on the ground an need a wrecker to pick it
up an hope your trailer isn't damaged Ugh
Safe Travels an happy Glamping
