Well I bought a new 2018 sportsman travel trailer last march.Has 2 year warranty..Have not used it since. Was getting ready to go do some traveling. Did all the safety check.Everything worked except the brakes on the trailer. getting 12 volt to the axles. The pulling truck is a 2008 super duty. So I did some searching on the net about the interactive brake system. So I have a old 1977 F 350 with a straight brake controller on it. The flat beds I pull with it have no issues braking. I connected the old truck to the camper. and still no brakes. So just to verify the problem is in the trailer I pulled the pin on the brake away system and nothing. No brakes. I called the KZ dealer in Akron Ohio. ( Kamping world) They wont call me back. and its 80 mile to there shop. I am hesitant to take the camper that far with no brakes. What do I do? Has anyone else had the same brake problems? Just a little back round on my self. I am a retired heavy equipment operator and mechanic. So I have a great deal of understanding on wiring.

Brake magnets are no different than a light bulb, run wires that are connected to a battery and they should come on.
First jack up a wheel and pull the breakaway switch to test. If nothing, then it is testing plug and wires.
You should be aware that these stupid brakes have little effect till used for hundreds of miles.
