OK, here's a dumb question:
I have a 2017 Connect C241RLK. Before we leave to go somewhere I fill up the water tanks with a hose via what I believe is called the gravity fill. In another thread someone asked whether the person filling it was using the gravity feed or the city water line to fill the tank. So my question is, can you use the city water hookup to fill the tank ? I've been standing there holding the hose using the gravity feed all this time ( a task I was planning on relegating to my daughter).

If there is a valve in a hose that connects between the city water supply and the hose to the tank, then it can be filled that way. It takes additional venting to do that safely, and I doubt that you have that.
My modified system that allows pressure fill, sanitary gravity fill, draw from a portable container, fill from a portable container using onboard pump, tank warming and instant hot water with no waste:

Generally, you either have a gravity fill or a city water fill to the holding tank. I've never seen both on a stock trailer.

You will see on most higher end 5th wheel an even some TT that they can fill the water tank using the city water inlet to fill such, like johnr stated i have never seen a trailer that has both from the factory Safe Travels Chuck

There is supposed to be a check valve (in my case, built into the water pump assembly) that prevents the water tank from being filled from the city water port. However I found that on my TT, a check valve can fail and inadvertently allow the water tank to be filled from the city source. I found this out when I noticed water flowing out of the gravity fill overflow while connected to city water. I Now make sure the shut off valve for the pump is closed whenever I’m connected to city water.

Thanks for the responses. I'm glad I wasn't doing something stupid by just standing there while it filled when there was an easier way.
