Hello all, I have a 2008 Coyote and have a question about the water heater. It is propane with a electric element. When I turn the on switch in the outside compartment I assume that is to switch it to the electric mode however when I turn on the water heater switch the reset button light is always on but I can hear the element working at the water heater. When in propane mode the reset button light is off. Also I cannot find a reset button anywhere. Any Thoughts?
Thanks,
Joe

We don't know what brand or model number of the water heater you have. We also don't know what switch panel or lights you have inside. The model number of the trailer is meaningless as they installed different systems as needed.
You should google the brand and download the owners manual of your particular water heater model. What you described may be normal and you didn't say if the water heats on gas. Usually both the gas and electric can be used simultaneously, if you want and there is no "mode."

I agree with lynnmor If you bought your camper new it should have a owner manual for your hot water heater included in the new owners manuals you received from the dealer I always turn on both gas an electric when setting up at a camp site, DW want hot water ASAP, so once she has her hot water I turn the gas off an only run on Electric ... When I turn on the Gas side of the water heater a red light will come on, but it's only to tell me that the gas side of the water heater is on ... On the Suburban water heater in our 384 5th wheel you have a black switch on the water heater it's self that needs to be turned on to get hot water on electric... You will find this switch behind outside panel on it is located on the lower left corner of the water heater, this switch mist be on to get hot water while on electrical power but not gas ,,, Please lets us know what type of water heater you have an I'm sure someone can help you out Safe Travels Chuck
