We bought a used 2015 Sportsman 280 showstopper took it camping over Memorial weekend. The air conditioner breaker trips sometimes. I am going to change the air filter this weekend? Any other ideas what would cause this?

Get a voltmeter that you can plug in and see it easily. Nothing will kill an air conditioner quicker than low voltage. If the voltage dips near 105, turn off the AC. Low voltage is all too common in campgrounds.
Now I guess that the main breaker in your trailer and the one outside on the pedestal did not trip. If you try to run multiple high amp appliances, that can trip a 30 amp breaker.

I may insult your intelligence, but I have to ask...Were you plugged into a true 30A service, with no extension cords? But still get the voltmeter, as most campgrounds tend not to be able to handle full electrical loads & low voltage is the result.

You're prob experiencing brownouts with bigger campers consuming the electricity with their dual air conditioners. I experienced that last year when my Jayco TT was the only TT in a group of 5er's & motor homes. My Progressive Industries EMS was kicking off all the time when the voltage kept dropping.

The voltage problem is getting worse as the number of RVs in campgrounds increase and the energy usage also increases because of the dual air conditioners and all the other whiz-bang electronics. Many campgrounds are not increasing the electrical capacity to accommodate these increased loads. I bought a Hughes autoformer to step up the voltage when needed. While an EMS will protect your systems, it does it by shutting you down. Hopefully the OP will not have more problems and keep a eye on the voltage. Voltage can drop fast when the Friday night folks roll in and all turn on their AC and water heaters, be particularly vigilant at times like that, and shut off the AC if you can't be there. Only those appliances that have a motor will suffer major damage from low voltage.

Yes we are hooked up to a true 30 amp. We bought a voltage meter. Will see whT happens .

Are you by chance running say a ....microwave oven, coffee pot, electric heater at the same time? All those are big consumers of electricity and sometimes will overload one device or another and trip the built in breaker.

I agree, with more an more 5th wheels using dual air conditioners an electrics along with TT the old camp grounds can't handle the load the voltage drops Ugh ...
I check the power before I even hook up to the pole just to make sure I have the correct amp/voltage
Safe travels
