I Am looking to the LED strip of awning lights to my TT. I see Dometic makes a kit. There are also many other for sale on Ebay. Does anyone have any input or have used any LED lighting strips for their awning? I really like the fact that you can roll your awning up with them in place. Thanks for any info you offer!

I am looking to do the same. I have ruled out anything on the awning roller as it might caues wear of the fabric. I am going to use a 5 meter strip of 5050 LED chips mounted to the camper box just under the awning rail and a wireless remote and dimmer. This can be had from ebay (china) for under 40 bucks...just be sure its waterproof strip.

I have the factory optional LED's installed in the groove of the awning roller. IMHO, they're not worth the money. Many of the brand new individual LED's do not light, but that's probably a good thing because when most of them are illuminated, the strip is too bright. We're currently snowbirding in Fl and have a concrete pad under the awning. I'm hoping the brightness will be less obnoxious when parked over grass.

We feel the same; had the strip replaced under warranty last year and this year many aren't lighting again (off warranty now) And yes, they were too bright anyway! I am wondering if it is possible to remove them and use that channel to hang the globe lights that are so popular. Anna

We had the factory install ours. Very convenient, IMO. They are very bright, but we love them. To each his own, I guess. Was a little worried about them attracting bugs, but they didn't.

We have the factory installed ones .... in the track. We roll the awning slightly outwards (overextended) so the light isn't shining down at us but outward. That works.
