I've had my new 384RLT for just over 2 1/2 weeks now and it's been quite a chore combining two trailers into one, but everything is in A PLACE (not necessarily the place it needs to be) and the trailer is ready to pull out for vacation next week... now I just have to make it through the next 4 days at work so I can go out and enjoy the trailer.

I'll be headed out with my camping group to a place about 2 1/2 hours from home for Memorial Day weekend (Thursday until Monday). I will leave there Monday and drive another couple of hours to the other side of San Antonio to Lake Medina (Monday until Saturday). This won't be a long distance trip, just a "much needed" chance to get away, and of course try the new trailer out on the highway.

I live about 20 minutes south of Houston myself. I will either be in San Antonio or out near Bandera when you pass through. I'll wave at you when you drive by!

I've seen it both flooding over the spillway and dry down to 10% of capacity. Gotta love Texas ... a drought interrupted by occasional floods ;-).

Yeah, I will be glad when I can leave the Houston area and cut my insurance... but what keeps me "fat" and keeps diesel in the truck is in Houston, so I will be here until I retire. I don't plan on being there after that.
Hey, ronc, are you guys in SA right now or are you out and about?

Then on to Philly, New York, Ontario, Toronto then back to the States for Dearborn and then to the Rally. Having a great time spending the kids inheritance 😎 looking forward to to seeing your new rig ... ☺️

Safe travels look forward to seeing you an your DW along with rvdude, jetzen an the group again Chuck

How are you liking the 284? That was my #1 choice, but I couldn't find one closer than about 800 miles from us to even look at, so ended up with a 277RLT that we found here in AZ. I do know that, when looking at the Jayco Eagle HT 27.5RLTS, with its very similar floorplan, the first thing DW said when we went to look at one was "where's the pantry?" Is there pantry space in the 284? I'd =still= like to see one, though, just to see what we're missing...besides the fireplace. :-) Interior pics would be excellent. (hint, hint) :-) Lyle

I do love the 384. It is a very nice trailer with a great floor plan, and it is perfect for full time living. And, yes it does have a big pantry with the washer/dryer closet right next to it. As for interior pics, you can search the internet for Durango Gold 384RLT and see some pics. That would probably be easier than uploading a bunch of pics here. They all have the same interior color scheme, so what you see will look just like mine. I have the residential refrigerator in mine and the light colored living room furniture.
It will get a "real workout" at the end of July/beginning of August going to Indiana for the KZ rally. That will be my first big trip with it. Hopefully I can do a couple of close trips before then.

OH, you have the Gold, not the 1500 version. Most mfrs can't seem to post pics for =specific= models, or if they do, it's never for the models =I'm= interested in. Lyle

Nope! She'd have to work another 10 years, with OT, to "allow" me to afford a new truck to haul the sucker! She'd retire tomorrow if we didn't need the insurance. Me, I'm still working p.t., helping with family business "stuff" and being a caregiver to my dad. I do get paid, but no bennies other than lunch on one of the companies every day. Lyle
