In our new SPort trek, someone had the bright idea of putting the water hookup right above our electical plug-in for ou r camper. Iam not really crazy about that idea. Looking for ideas of what to do. Anyone have ideas? Hubby thought of running copper pipe out aND out away from cam per and past plug on then hook house in, thoughts? We pick up friday

Stupid, yes. Just be doubly sure that the breaker at the pedestal is turned off when connecting and disconnecting. Maybe make a label for a reminder to everyone that might connect. Regardless, the breaker should always be off on every RV before plugging in or out.
Moving the connection point is a good idea, but I can’t come up with a way that would be pretty. If you could use another TV, Satellite or cable connection, maybe put it where the water is now and move the water to a better location.
The rocket scientist that designed mine put the black tank flush vacuum breaker above the electrical connector inside and right next to my silverware. The manufacturer’s instructions say that water may be expelled from the breaker and to install it where water will do no harm. I think you will find that they are still putting the vacuum breakers wherever is convenient for them.
