Hi Gold owners! Wanted to take a quick survey and see what and or how, and how often you do maintenance on your roof? When I picked up my new unit a few months back the dealership pointed out that some type of maintenance should be done on the roof. IE sweep/mop/clean with?? They were not real specific but since mine is out in the Texas sun I would like to do all I can to keep it happy. Fortunately or unfortunately (depending on the time of year) I do not have any trees to contend with.
Thanks for all the great info sharing! Bobcat

Krud Kutter or Purple Power, med stiff brush, work in a small area about 4x4, twice a year. Sweep, rinse and start with cleaner. The best thing you can do is get it out of the sun and under a cover in the SW sun.

Thanks for the quick responses! Unfortunately getting out of the sun may not be an option here.... Unless the park installs covers then there goes the rent! LOL
Dawn is one of the most universal products in the world, I use it for many things on the farm and garden!
Awesome ideas, and will keep it in mind for my schedule

Just my two cents worth ... My dealer tells me that modern TPO and EPDM roof membranes do not require a special cleaner, such as the $30 two part systems used years ago.
He recommends a gentle detergent with a through rinse, and prefers Murphys Oil Soap.
If you need to use mineral spirits or some sort of solvent for stain removal or cleaning up caulk residue, he says to apply as little as possible with a terry cloth rag, and never apply directly by pouring or spraying onto the membrane.
If you're in a strong sun location, application of a UV barrier top coat or, better, a cover, is recommended.

Another good one is Spic 'n Span and a soft brush. As for stains, it's the =roof= who really cares? :-)

Thanks for the responses! I am a fan of Dawn and use it for many things. I may start there and see how we progress.
