our new Escape 190 had a sticker on the side wall that read TV BACKER LOCATION. I drilled several 1/16 holes and found that there wasn't any backer for a tv on the outside wall. I mounted my tv wall mount on the side of the cabinet above the sink. I first removed the cabinet door and inside panel. I used a 2x4 between the 2 cab walls . Reinstalled inside panel. Backed up in & outside panels for extra support. I mounted my tilt/swing mount. I can swing toward my dinning or bed. It works excellent. I installed 4 eye hooks to bungee cord the tv for travel. My 19in TV and mount only weighs 15 lb.

More info on my tv in my Spree 190. I cut 2in off a wing of the mount bolted on the back of the tv. To make wire connections easier to reach. I love the way I mounted on the cabinet. Too bad KZ don't brace up that area for a TV.

The TV backer may be a thin piece of sheet metal behind the paneling. When you drilled, did you feel some resistance and get some metal chips as you went thru the panel? Check with a strong magnet to see if you can locate the sheet metal.

You are right. I checked with a magnet . The metal plate is about 5in by 16in. I would have taped threads and used bolts to mount the tv. KZ DOES NOT MENTION THIS INFO IN THEIR OWNERS MANUAL . (If I had only known ).
