I have a 2012 Durango 1500 295CS. It has a short queen in the bedroom. I'd like to upgrade to a regular sized residential queen mattress, but I'll need to raise the headboard up a few inches so it will fit underneath. The headboard is attached to the front cap inner wall. I just can't figure out how it was done. Some have suggested that there is screws located behind the butons on the upholstery, but I just can't seem to fine them. There also doesn't appear to be any fasteners around the outer frame. Any suggestions on how to remove and raise the headboard??? Here's a pic of the 2013. It appears they changed the design this year. It has a wood frame around the headboard with electrical outlet above mounted in the closets. In my 2012 they used a little different style of headboard that is mounted directly to the wall and there is no outlets above:

Well, I called the dealer's service department today and the service manager gave me a couple tips. It ends up that the factory just used pneumatic staple to attach the headboard to a couple vertical 2x2's that are nailed to the wall. Just gave the headboard a firm pull and the staples pulled free and the headboard is removed.
Now all I need to do is move the 2x2's further up the wall and reattached the headboard with a couple toenailed finishing nails.
