Our 382MBQ came with a residential fridge and it has an ice maker in it. I turned it on for the first time a little while ago but there was no ice made. Is there a way to tell, other than pulling out the fridge, if there is actually a water line going to the fridge and if so, would there be a valve somewhere that may be turned off?

First things first. Make sure the ice maker is turned on. On the Samsung residential the icemaker button and indicator light work opposite of what you would think. If you look real close at the indicator light, when lit it says "no ice". Make sure the indicator light is off. With the light off wait about 2hours if still no ice is being made report back. This is the most common problem with the system. The Japanese think different/comprehend things different than Americans.LOL

Pull out your trash bin drawer and verify that there is a blue water line. Next go out side and and verify that there is a drain somewhere between the wheels under the slide. Find the petcock/drain. Open it with main water turned on. Does water flow?

If the refrigerator was just turned on it may take up to 12hours before it will make ice. If you want ice faster press the power freeze button. This will help make the freezer section reach the target temp faster. This is however dependent on whether or not you are getting water to the ice maker.

Open it with main water turned on. Does water flow? I pulled out the trash can and did NOT see any water line there although it is a completely enclosed area. I did happen to find a clear plastic (neither red nor blue )drain over the rear wheel but when I opened it nothing came out. Guess KZ gave me a fridge with an ice maker without providing any way for the ice maker to function.

Just in case you have not solved your problem. We have a 359 RLT Durango Gold with the same refrig. In our unit there is a blue water valve for the refrig under our kitchen sink. Make sure it is turned on. To check if it is turned on, go outside as you did above. Water should flow. In our unit there are 2 drain valves in that general location between the rear wheels below the driver's side slideout. One is for the fresh water tank which is further back from the refrig. drain.

Gary, I have the same problem in my new 384RLT. If your refrigerator is in the kitchen slide to the right of the stove like mine is, check behind the drawer that is under the stove. I found the blue water line and valve there back by the wall. I loosened the drawer slides and pulled the drawer way out. I could not turn the valve either direction with just one hand, and it's so far back I couldn't get both hands in there. That's on my list to try again this week on my off days. Good luck and I hope you get it going.

Yes, mine has the white line connected to the blue line. When I tried to turn the valve with just one hand the pipe just twisted each way I turned it. So, that's why I said both hands are needed. Anyway, I hope that worked for you and I'll see if that takes care of mine later this week.

I fought my way under the stove and checked the valve. It was open... unless it is a backwards valve. I hear the ice maker solenoid calling for water but didn't get any ice. I turned the icemaker back off and now it's back to the drawing board.

Mine made ice from day one, but as Jetzen mentioned, the ice on position is when the light is OFF. Additionally, it will make more ice than we can use, so I frequently turn it off. When turned back on, it takes a bit for it to restart making ice. I have the Samsung residential refrigerator. Turn the ice maker on and give it 24 hours. Good luck with your issue ... keep us informed on how it turns out.

After I leave the rally on Monday and get to the next stop that is one thing I plan to do is find out what's going on and get it working.
