We have a 2018 366 Gold. The volume on our TV is really low. You have to crank it up to 70-80 to be able to hear it. I thought you could run the tv audio through the surround sound system but not having any luck. Has anyone else had a problem with the volume on their television?

Yes we do. I can't get the sound from the tv to come through it. Though I think it supposed to somehow. Might be operator error.

Make sure that the sound her is pluged into 110v. Also the sound bar uses the optical connection between the television and the sound bar itself. Make sure that is pluged in. Turn the sound bar on either withthe remote or on the center button on the sound bar when in standby the button is Amber when turned on the button is white. If you dont want to use the sound bar you can gain extra volume by pulling the television out and away from the entertainment center

Thanks Jetzen. I'll check that out tomorrow. The sound bar has power because the radio works. But I'll check the optical connection.

We found out that the TV volume must be on low for the soundbar to work. Once you set the volume so that a little is showing on the volume scale on the TV screen, then hit the TV button on your soundbar remote and control it from there. If this doesn't make sense, let me know and I will send you a private message. Dub

Well, I was going to check out the volume issue with our 5er but it is in our shop and we can't get any tv reception inside the metal building. So it will have to wait till we pull it out again in a couple of weeks. We have winter storm warnings right now, so we'll leave it tucked away. (I didn't say that %&*@ word! )

On my New 380FLF the service lady first said just make sure sound bar(her term for 2speakers mounted on either side of dvd/stereo) was switched to optical. I did that with no sound. She then called me back and said she was doing the PDI on my model and it wouldn’t work for her. Her suggested fix was to use RCA connector to connect TV to sound bar and it worked for her. I questioned why the optical didn’t work and she couldn’t answer, but was going to send the new one out with rca connectors since it worked. I would think quality would be less, but since I’m half deaf it’s probably better than not working.

We just use the TV sound unless watching a movie where the sub woofer adds to the effects. Running both at the same time is occasionally necessary in heavy rain storms.
