We have the slow-rise window shades and one of our shades won't stay down. Worked fine for a while. Anybody else have issues and if so how did you fix it?

We had one do this during our PDI at delivery. They removed it and put in a warranty claim. They are supposed to send us the new one.

mtcowgirl Call your dealer an see if you can get a warranty claim put in, I know it's a ways to your dealer, maybe they will like dub ship you one without looking at it an thus ship the bad one back to them so Kz can look at it ... Sometime they ask to see bad products so they know that owners are not scamming them, not that anyone would ever do such We have one that rolls up really fast, not good, will have them replace it at the Kz rally along with some minor things ... Thanks Chuck. I'll give the dealer a call. I checked on the website for the shades and there is a way to adjust how fast/slow the shades go up. Might check it out to see if it helps your problem. Here's the link for their videos. www.irvineshadeanddoor.com/support/video-instructions/

yes, they made those adjustments to mine but it would still go up on its own slowly. Thanks for that helpful link mtcowgirl

Well, called the dealer this morning, "The service managers are helping someone. I'll have one of them call you back." That was over 4 hours ago. grr... Going to call them again right now. Hope this isn't a sign of what's to come.

Sadly to say mtcowgirl this happen more than you know I wouldn't have waited that long, an hour would have passed I would have been calling Gurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Problem is that they really don't care once they have your money, believe me Kz cares, but there is little they can do since these dealers are independent an will sell any product that makes them a profit , most are not brand loyal ... Problem with pulling a product is that the next RV MFG will move their product in so the dealer really dozen't care because they know such ... Our dealer at least calls us back an are friendly when at the dealer but their work is poor ... Thus it takes you three months to get in, then maybe a few weeks to get parts an another few weeks to repair something so they say an that shoots have if not more of your summer ... This if you read the different forms it happens with all brands, some more than others, our RV dealer sells not only Thor products but Forest River products so they are selling one completer against the other ... Thus if one MFG states they say we want you to sell only our products they tell them to take hike because they know the other MFG will be over joyed to know they no long has competition within that dealer with another MFG .... Finally talked to someone at the dealership. Want me to send them the shade they will then send to KZ. I asked if they could get us the new shade drop shipped to us and we would then send them they broken one. Nope. Nope they won't do that. Said call KZ customer service. So left a message with KZ will see what happens now.

that is consistent with what happened to us. they took the shade and it will be 3-4 weeks before we get the new one

KZ called me back in less than 15 minutes. Impressed. They sent me some directions to try to fix it but they aren't for a shade that won't stay down. KZ then emailed me the contact info for the Irvine Shade company. They are in eastern time zone so will call on Monday. Again, I am impressed with the quick response from KZ and their very friendly attitude.

I keep telling people that Kz is really customer orientated, while at the rally last year every time you turned around they stated they are behind their customer base 200% If you look in the Kz Rally folder Irvine Shade company has signed up to be a vender at the rally as well, jetzen posted their phone number in the post atating they will be at the rally Safe Travels Chuck
