Picked up our new 2018 Connect 251 rear kitchen yesterday. No leaks because it was raining hard when we did the walk-thru. Checked today to see if I missed anything and there is no water inside (Thank God). Anyway, the only thing I can find that I missed, at this time, was the screen door doesn't want to latch. It seems the "stopper" on the door frame is too small and won't catch the door latch. Thinking of trying to put something under it to raise it or I'm wondering if the door frame is bent. It doesn't seem to be because the door, with the screen attached to it, does seem to shut properly. Plus there was no water inside after we drove home and it rained all the way. Ideas??? Not wanting to run the rig all the way back to the dealer for one small thing (70 miles one-way). Will call the dealer for ideas or part if that is the only problem after first camping trip next month. Thanks

RV screen doors are notoriously easy to get out of alignment, one wrong grab as you're heading down the steps can do it.
If you look at the hinges of the screen door, you'll see that they are simply aluminum. All your dealer is going to do is open the door, grab it on the outside high and low, and push the door in the direction they want it to go. In your case, it sounds like it needs to go up, so they will push the door up toward the top hinge a little bit. They'll make small adjustments until the door closes the way it should.
If your door is aligned in the frame properly and it still won't latch, check the door hardware. Most hardware can be loosed and moved into a better position pretty easily.
If all that fails, can you post a picture of what you're seeing?

Gene We all miss things on the PDI, I missed the bedroom slide not opening all the way, found to large lag screws in bed cross railing hold it from do such, replaced them an all was good ... Some but not all door latches can be slid up an down an left to right just a bit... Problem is that most all the little "stoppers" (your term) on door frame dozen't come out much on any of the door frames ... Try seeing if you can move the latch a bit so it will catch, if not see if you can find a small narrow thin peace of metal that you can attach(screw) to the door fame so it sticks out just enought to catch the latch but dozen't interfere with the door opening an closing ... Hope this helps Safe Travels an happy Glamping Chuck

Congratulations on your new trailer. Be sure the trailer is level. That could help. Like others said, there is (on my trailer door anyway) a screw that you can loosen and slide the catch a little in one direction or the other to help it catch better. Hope you get it figured out and it is a simple fix, not something major wrong.

Pretty much all good advice. Try things in this order. Make sure trailer is level & is sitting "relaxed". If parking it required a hard turn, pull it forward/ push it backward to allow everything to straighten out. Getting carried away with the stabilizer jacks can tweek things pretty easily. Next try to adjust the latch on the door itself, it should have slotted holes to allow adjustment. The tricky part here is adjusting the latch so it catches but it can still be easily released. As a last result, you can bend the hinges so the door is more offset one way or another.
