We're double checking everything before we start out for the season. We want to get another spare wheel and we were taking the spare off to be sure to match the wheel size. It seems the crank handle is too short. When we try to put it on the nut underneath the trailer, threading it through the hole on the slide, it barely reaches the nut. When we turn the handle we have to push hard and it rubs on the side of the trailer. It looks like the handle is too short and should be at least a couple of inches longer in order to clear the side of the trailer and not rub. Has anyone else noticed this? Thought maybe there is a longer crank available and maybe we just got the wrong one with our 366.

mtcowgirl Ours is as well close to the side of the trailer, thought about cutting it, adding a few inches an welding it back together before we start to go across the country again Safe Travels Chuck

We are going to check to see if they make a longer one. Thanks Chuck. Will let you know if we find one.

Take a look at the BAL hide a spare. It is available everywhere on the internet. It is a spare tire holder that mounts under the trailer and you just drop down the bars that hold the tire and it is a lot easier to get to. Kind of like a "spare in a basket" so to speak.

Thanks rvdude. We were able to "rebend" the crank handle and now it clears the side of the trailer nicely. Might be something to mention at the rally though. We would like to come but taking the Gold to Alaska this year for a couple of months. Hope to go in 2019 though.
