Hi, Just want to introduce myself. Wife and I just purchased a new Connect 241RL at the Sacramento CA. RV show. We loved the floor plan and the features. We have to wait a little while to pick it up as we are waiting for the Sofa/sleeper, to replace the Jacknknife, sofa. The weight was important to me as I plan to use my 2001 F150 4X4 Supercrew rated at 7200lb max tow cap. to pull it. We have not had an RV since 1984, so in a sense we are newbies. Look forward to participating in the forum. Thanks!

Thank you for pointing the PDI list out to me. We had our PDI today and having that list was invaluable. I found a problem with the sealant around the fresh water tank drain, some missing screws and an improper screw on the Jbar, and a jbar panel that was cut too short. Found the wind sensor for the awning was missing, as was the flex hose for the BBQ. The staff at RV Travel World in Sacramento was great in fixing and remedying all issues. Our PDI took 5 hours! I was impressed with their level of commitment to making sure their customer was satisfied. Somehow I missed how to turn out the step light. I'll have to call them tomorrow.

Thanks, George

I do not know. I looked at some pictures on the KZ website and on the internet. The only place I can see that it might be is in the bank of switches by the bathroom door. Is it possible that it could be motion activated and therefore the reason you can't find the switch?

Picking up our 2018 Connect 241RLK on Monday. Love the outdoor kitchen. Has anyone purchased a grill for your outdoor kitchen? If so, where and what was the price? One more question. What’s the best way to mount 2 bikes on the back platform? Thanks in advance!

KZ has one as an option. It came with ours. Mounts on the rear bumper by the outdoor kitchen and there is a second quick connect for it. I don't know the cost. We are still in the process of getting organized so have not been out for our first trip. Looking forward to it though.

Chuck, Thanks for checking. No! We, were stocking up the trailer today and I looked everywhere. Called the dealer, sales, and he was not any help. We have some parts on order from the PDI and I will check with service when I take it in. The only way to turn it off I have found is to use the battery disconnect switch. I can't imagine 1 Led light could put much of a drain on the Battery. Right now I pull the battery anyway. I don't have a lock on the battery box or spare yet so I am reluctant to leave them at the storage facility. Still getting the truck ready, installed all new brakes, calipers, rotors, pads and stainless lines, New 265/70/17 load range E Michlein LT defenders, got the 12V on the 7 pin working - needed a relay installed and new big towing mirrors. Found the rear axel seal on the passenger side is weaping so going to replace the seals and bearings and service the Diff. Truck has a new trans so that should be good. Getting close to our first outing. Still don't know where we are going!

Wow hihosilver Sounds like you have rebuilt your truck somewhat I like rvdude looked around on the internet to see if I could find some but failed Ugh .... The parts guy may not know as well, you might go back to the RV Tech who did your PDI with you an ask. I know that in one of the thread here someone found a switch for something, can't remember what the switch was for, but I believe it was for a light of some sort inside a kitchen cabinet. I don't know if it was a island kitchen cabinet or not but it seem to be way out of place for a light switch ... Our porch light switch is on the panel with the hot water, water pump an gray an black water switches, I would have thought it would be next to the door, but the switch next to the door is for the inside light over the door ... You would have thought that they would have put the two together so if you wanted the porch light on you would have both inside an outside on or at least put another switch there to operate both Ugh ... I remember last year going thought the 2500 line at the factory they had censored lights, when you walked into a room they came on. I do not remember if there was a switch as well to turn them off an on an I don't remember how long they stayed on because other Kz owners were walking thought the unit while I was standing there inside an outside ... So if the dealer is no help you might call call Kz customer service with your Vin number an model, their number is in your owners manual, tell them your problem. Also say your dealer was no help an this why you are calling them, thus they might be able to help or at least steer you in the right direction ... Also as i did when passing by the dealer one afternoon on our way home from the kids house I stopped by the dealer an ask a question on the operation of out antenna because I was having a problem with reception (later found out it was a bad antenna). I grabbed one of the salesman that I knew was pretty well knowledgeable our trailer an ask him to show me the function of the antenna in a Kz G384RLT just like ours on there lot. There happened to be that model just outside the showroom door opened up, so we went inside an he show me how it was suppose to work, long story short, I was doing it correctly all along ... So if you are close by your dealer of for than matter any Kz dealer who has you model go in ask them to show you where the switch is, it may be one of those head slap moments were you "wow how did I miss that" but at last you know now were the switch is Safe Travels an again welcome to the Kz family Chuck

The new motion sensor lights they are installing in the closet, bathroom, and basement on the Golds have an on/off switch located on the light itself.

Thanks, George Ours (241RLK) is inside the front passenger side storage compartment up against the front. I don't know why they would put it in such an odd place. You would think it would be inside by the door or something.

That's an interesting place for the switch to operate the step light. You have to turn it off while you're outside, then get into the trailer in the dark. Kind of like my toyhauler... the porch light is to the rear of the slide so it does nothing at all to light up the main entry door which is to the front of the slide.

New flash, dit dit dit dit (ticker tape running).... Porch lights an switches for such were designed by retired rocket scientists from NASA Thus it makes you look in every part of your trailer so you know it front to back an still can't find such Safe Travels Chuck

We are still in the process of getting organized so have not been out for our first trip. Looking forward to it though. Wait.....there are TWO quick connects back there ? SO I could run the grill and the stove at the same time ? I didn't see that (albeit, I only had it out once before I had to winterize it). I've been trying to find some type of a fitting that would act as a splitter for that.
