We are in our second year with our 2016 Sonic 190VRB. We really like the trailer and use it for quick weekend getaways. It has not been without problems, as I have been on several forums and QC has been a problem industry wide. The good news is that the dealer, the factory, and Lippert have been very supportive. A through PDI before sighing anything was the biggest lesson I have learned. I hope to hear from other Sonic owners out there.

Hello, welcome to the forum and all that is KZ. Having been in the RV biz, I would be lying if I said every unit is perfect, but it sounds like everyone stepped up and took care of your issues.

Hello, welcome to the forum and all that is KZ. Having been in the RV biz, I would be lying if I said every unit is perfect, but it sounds like everyone stepped up and took care of your issues. I will go into more details at a later date so as not to get on a soapbox. In fourteen months we had to replace the interior front end and the rear interior due to no sealed clearance lights. Reinforce the dinette seats because they are just stapled. 13 cosmetic and pulled away interior parts. Replaced the electric element on the hot water heater. And the best was a broken front axel while pulling into a gas station. (no it was not overloaded, or hit a curb or pot hole). Lippert really came through on that since it was past the 12 months. Of course the dealership had it for six of the first twelve months. Everything was fixed. So customer service was great after the fact. Yet this unit should never left the factory on the condition it was in.

We have turned the corner and are really enjoying our TT. We are pulling it with a Toyota Highlander. We do get some funny looks while at our campsite, with the Highlander, but even at GVW on the Sonic we are 500lbs under the towing capacity. We have had the trailer weighed as well as the tongue. Many lessons learned. We do see a 5th wheel and a BIG truck about 4 years down the road when I retire.

Welcome to the group another fellow Texan! 20 mi south of Houston, and weekend get away in Lockhart! Stop by and visit if you can!
I can say from experience, being my second KZ RV, they have great customer service. The few minor issues I have had with my new rig have been resolved fairly quick. Part being a holiday weekend, as Murphy's law states things will go wrong on a holiday weekend! LOL
