Hi all! I am still in the "shake down" of my new Durango which has been a super awesome rig! So far, and pretty nominal, the only issue I have had is the kitchen faucet has decided it wants to leak. Not a drip a stream. It seemed to happen after this last super cold spell here in Texas, and I know there was no issues with my rig freezing. This is a high arch pull out spray with only one handle to turn on and off the water. Has anyone else had issues with it? If so short of having the dealership fix which may be a while before I get back any other ideas.
I thought about asking if the dealership could mail a new faucet based on picture or video or maybe KZ. I would be happy to install and send back the old one.

RV faucets are very low quality, many replace them with one from a home center. To replace the one you have with a like one of decent quality would be expensive, but then you wouldn't have the current hassle and again it the future.

From one Texan to another... I have problems in the bathroom and the kitchen with the faucets not shutting off completely. I just have to move it to one side or the other a little bit and it will usually stop. Also, if I pull them forward too far, they will leak. Try doing a little adjusting of the handle and see if that helps. Good luck.

Can you find a brand on the faucet and look for a diagram on the web? Might be able to see where it may have gone bad.

There is no brand labeled on the faucet so I have no idea. I have seen similar in the big box homes stores but of course no one really knows how they work. I did try all the other suggestions about relocating the handle etc and that didn't help any. I even tried to remove it to see if I could reverse the pressure in case there was something in the packing area. So I will wait to see what the dealership has to say. The good thing is I am not in it 24/7....yet.

bobcat If you are 150 miles away from your selling sealer call Kz customer service, they will steer you to a Kz dealer that would be able to either fix or repair your faucet, thus not waiting till you get back to your selling dealer Just a suggestion, safe travels Chuck

Bobcat, we were traveling to Arizona on Xmas day on our first trip when the kitchen faucet sprung a leak, water everywhere. It's a PITA to reach behind the sink and get the faucet out, but I finally got it. Found there was a leak where one of the metal hoses screw into the faucet. One of them wouldn't tighten. It was cross threaded. A few turns with plumbers tape and all is well. BTW everyone who travels with an rv should have plumbers tape in their toolbox. I have used it more than a few times over the years. Just picked up our Gold 370 RLT in November. Left Xmas day for three months in Arizona. The faucet has been the only problem we have had so far. Otherwise I would give this rig an A plus.

Looks like mine and I think they have a cartrage valve behind the knob. Wife complains she has the one she wants in the %w & not our house.

Thanks Chuck, keep me posted. The dealership mentioned sending me a new one to swap out but if I can fix in the mean time it may not be necessary. The good or the bad is I am not in it full time....yet.... so the issue is not as big as it might be for some. Also, someone mentioned if I was more than a certain distance KZ may send the replacement parts or someone to replace since it is under warranty.

Bobcat I along with Edd505 I have posted such regarding Kz Customer service routing you to a Kz dealer who will do repairs under warranty if you are over 150 miles from your selling dealer. Not all Kz dealers will do warranty work unless you have bought from them, there are a number of posts regarding such not only on this form but others as well, this seems to be the norm thought out the RV industry but Kz has a reach around for this problem Safe Travels, don't forget about the Kz rally !!! Bobcat These kitchen faucets sell for around $170 like what we mostly all have in the Durango Gold models Looking around for other brands an upgraded models you can go from around $350 to over $500 real fast i saw someplace, I believe here with a Durango Gold were someone had a faucet freeze an broke into peaces an when warmed up had water spurting out Ugh !! I have to say it LOL, come to the Kz rally in August if you can deal with it that long an they will replace it under your warranty no problem. But if you dealer is will to send you one an you can install it even better to keep the DW happy an you don't have to hear " WHEN YOU GOING TO FIX THE FAUCET" Safe travels Chuck

Chuck- Just saw that when I looked at the link then opened the HD site. Sooooo with that being said, if I get out to my rig this weekend I will bring some hand tools (since its new I have not moved ALL the goods in) and take it apart to at least see if there is some "trash" stuck in it or if the cartridge can be adjusted. At least now I know how to take it apart which is a step in the right direction.
I don't fault KZ for it, since their name isn't on it. But in the grand scheme of thing it is a nominal issue and still say the rig is very well built.
My corporate office is a few hundred miles from the KZ rally so maybe I can swing an August visit there and hop over for a few hours! Maybe pick up some more advice.
