We just got our new G384RLT home from the dealer. 95 mile first tow and I'm impressed. Trailer was smooth to pull. Had a great experience with our sales man Sean Miller and the PDI crew. They took as long as we wanted and marked down the 2 very minor issues we found. We have it set up in the driveway so we can get more comfortable with all the systems. Here are a few pictures of our new rolling home.

lfhenderson Congratulations We love ours, as you found out they tow great, you will also find out there is a pretty good learning curve to all the bells an whistles as you may have read here in the Durango folder ... Down load the APP from LCI to control your leveling an front land jack's, I am spoiled rotten now an a number of our camping friends love watching me set up not touching any control panel ... Where it took me thirty five to forty minutes to get boards out put the trailer on them an level trailer left to right an then drop jacks in front an back, screw them down with my 3/4 inch drill an level the complete trailer, it now takes me maybe 20 to 25 minutes to unhook, level, put the slides out, hook up power LOL You will also love the room Don't forget the Kz Rally this coming summer to show off that new trailer an join jetzen and us with our 384's Safe travels an again Congratulations on your new trailer Chuck pS; check your fire extinguisher, there was a recall on the brand in your trailer

Thought the wife was going to freak out when it was tilting back and forth. We will get a few trips under our belts and then I will see if I can convince her to make the trip up to the rally. We have it set up in the driveway right now trying to get more comfortable with all the systems. Looking at the 355 and the 384 side by side was a real eye opener as far as space inside. Getting this on into our driveway off of a single lane road was a challenge in the dark. Merry Christmas.

You won't need a nose stand, your wife can move. Kidding looks like it's balanced on her head. You'll love the KZ they pull great, well built, the Auto level takes some getting used to.

View AttachmentEdd I was just giving her a hard time about that. Told her she has to get everything from and return it to the front baggage compartments.

Getting this on into our driveway off of a single lane road was a challenge in the dark. Merry Christmas. LOL, I was freaking out the fist time I saw the front end dropping when I depressed the auto level button. If you read one of my early post just after we got ours I made the statement about such ... The LCI tech at the rally explained the leveling system in detail an went over it till I was comfortable with it, that's another reason to attend the rally, you have the techs there that can either fix or explain how things work so you feel comfortable pushing any one of a dozen buttons Don't get the DW to mad LOL, when she looks at all that cabinet an storage space an starts to thinking about such you just may be overloaded before you know it When I swapped out the stuff I had in our old 5th wheel I was scratching my head, I had only about half of the storage used up in the main storage space an didn't even have anything in the front storage space Merry Christmas Chuck

One You might do is pull the panels down that is in you main storage area an check to make sure all your furnace duck work is connected before you start to put stuff into that storage area. The reason why is that some of the Durango gold owners have experienced low heat in different area's do to such ... One other thing jetzen turned me onto this afternoon while talking with him was that the hinge assembly on his bed had smaller wood screws on the lower half of the bed that rises, thus it was squeaking at times. He stated his screws were only half inch an in every other screw hole on the lower part of the hinge away from the head board. He replaced his screws with one inch screws an put them in every screw hole in the hinge, thus the squeaking stopped. I checked mine today an sure enough mine was the same, but I have yet heard any squeaking . Thus I will be replacing such in the near future as preventive maintenance on our bed to avoid such in the future Again Congratulations to you and your wife, many safe travels Chuck

We have our first trip with the 5er scheduled for January 5-7 at a state park about 100 miles from us for a shake down trip. I hope everything goes well so I can convince the wife to get more adventurous so we can make the rally.

While you have it open up make sure that all your water connections are tight (now leaks) as a precaution an remember to check your fire extinguisher, there was a recall on the brand that may be in your trailer .. One thing we had to do with our steps is to put thin sheets of galvanize between the steps because our 165pd Great Dane would put his leg thought the opening in the step. Our other dog had no trouble getting up an down but the moose for some reason always push's his right leg backwards going down any steps Ugh Well hope everything goes well, I as well as jetzen, would like love to see you at the rally, thus we would have another 384 there Safe travels now go Glamping Chuck

Good advice Chuck, the one water leak I had was at the water heater outlet, so it didn't show up until the water heater was at full temp. Easy fix then, now that I am "moved in" not as easy....

nvguy I know what you mean, we cleaned out the trailer to take it to the dealer for the yearly inspection, had forgotten how stuff I had in that thing. Now I have to pack it all back in when it warms up, part of my garage is now full along with a little bit of my tractor shop Good luck Chuck
