On my Venom 3311 there are two what appear to be coax cable Jack's on the roof. They are covered by rubber snap covers. They are located side by side about 10' from the back of RV and on the right side of center line.
Does anyone know what these are for. I'm guessing for a satellite dish?

I have no idea, but I would guess that if somebody wanted to install a fixed satellite dish on the roof, they would have the wiring ready to go.

kaboom I'd either call you dealer ask for service deptment an explain the unit you have or call KZ customer service (phone number listed in your owners manual in the back) Also you could post a picture of such here an someone might figure it out, like rvdude stated it sounds like it's a hookup for a satellite dish.... If you pull the cover off one an it looks to be a cable connector then i'd say it was such stated above Safe Travels Chuck

Thanks, I figured someone might have already figured it out. I have to take it back to the dealer for a new rear ramp door, as suggested I'll ask them.

What kind of worry's me is that the rubber boots with the coax style Jack's are screwed to the roof. Then lap sealant was applied over the screws in a circle. This causes a bowl which fills with rain water. If the rubber snap cap deteriorates then a leak is sure to happen.
I can't climb up on the roof right now to take a picture. They are the same outlet type as the one on the side of RV for outside tv. Except the two on the roof have sealant all the way around the outside creating a bowl.
Everything is still playable and the caps still fit tight, so not an immediate problem just one the could occur.

Chuck, thanks wish we could maybe someday. I'm self employed and it's hard to get away.
Company has a really poor vacation plan, 😉

Thanks, if the dealer doesn't know what the Jack's are for, then I'll buy one of the testers. Heck, I'll probably buy one anyways.

The build sheet would say “pre wire for satellite” or something similar if it is satellite wiring, which is most likely.

They are for a roof mounted satellite dish or a satellite dome. I do believe all Durango Golds and Venoms have them

Thank you for all the responses. Doubt I'll ever mount a satellite dish on the roof. I have a portable dish the works great. If a tree is in the way I can move the dish.

According to the diagram I got with my unit (318 RLT) one of the satellite roof connections goes to the BR TV, the other to the LR TV.

The Durango 2500's have them as well. Like kaboom, I use a portable dish. Never know when something can get in the way. Happy Campin....

I talked to the dealer yesterday and the connections are for a roof mounted satellite. Again thanks for all the responses.
Due to the fact that rubber deteriorates over time I'm thinking about sealing over the entire cap and surrounding area with a roof sealant. If I ever needed to access the plugs the sealant could be removed.

kaboom Might be a good Idea, of course you should check you seals around everything on the roof ever year anyway, we found out when doing an inspection for our forever warranty there needed to redo seals around the bathroom sky light an front cap Safe Travels Chuck
