Well we just got back from our first trip in our 2018 366 Gold. So far only two issues. Didn't have any heat in the front bathroom. Brr... But we weren't using the shower or water since it is a little too cold now and we are already winterized. 15 at night. Half bath was toasty warm and I do mean toasty!! Will check to see if the ductwork is attached for the front bathroom. Might have come off but it was too cold and windy where we were to look at that. Being cold and windy thought we could watch some movies, well dvd player would quit then start skipping, then maybe start to work correctly. (no TV reception back in the woods ) Also after having quite an issue to get the slide toppers on the street side slides, found out that they make quite a bit of noise in the wind. But winds of 30-40 would make anything noisy! We just pulled in the slides at night and everything worked fine. When we camp in the winter we always close slides at night and when we are away from the rv so we don't have to shovel/sweep snow of the slides. Hubby wasn't real keen on the fireplace when we were looking for rv. But I noticed he was quick to turn it on in the morning to warm up the trailer. Hmmm... maybe he likes it now?! Look forward to being able to fully use all the features on the rv. Might have to go south though to do that.

Awesome! Hope you had fun even with the issues you discovered. Was there anything which stood out to you as being better than you were expecting?

Considering we were in 15-30 degree weather the furnace worked well. Even forgot to turn it off while we were gone for 11 hours and batteries held up. We do have generator and turned it on to charge the batteries back up. Bed was very comfortable and love the island kitchen and big refrigerator. We had a 2006 Keystone Everest with bunks in back, so love all the usable room now.

Happy that your first trip went well. Ducts off seems to be a common problem in the Durangos, no heat in the bathroom would certainty cut library time in there. Not sure what DVD disks you tried, when my home player skips, washing the disk in mild soap & water and patting dry. Even new disks can have a film and washing can help. Question: closing the slides at night? Why?

Ed reminded me... if you were using homemade DVD movies, those are not always read by every DVD player correctly. If you're experiencing the issue with one of those, try a purchased DVD movie and see if there's any improvement.

We tried several dvds including ones we had watched before. All with the same results. But I'll remember the suggestions if we have it happen once we get it fixed.Regarding the slides, we were getting snow, sleet and freezing rain off and on during the nights. Along with high winds. We've had to shovel snow and gently chisel ice off the slides on our old 5er to be able to close the slide to come home. We aren't as agile now and really don't want to climb up on a snow covered roof. Much easier to just close slides and not have to worry about.

The joys of snow country, I knew there was a reason I left Idaho for the SW, 300+ days of sun. Didn't have slides when I lived up north. Makes perfect sense.

Glad you had a great first outing. A few minor things are always to be expected. As for the fireplace, when I was looking I made the comment to the salesman that I didn't need the fireplace, I would rather have the storage since I would be living in it. He told me that they are more functional than just decoration. After using it for several years, I have to agree with him that it does put out some good heat and will make the living area quite warm. I don't live in a super cold climate, but I do like having the fireplace.

Hummmmm DVD player, we have none , was one thing we miss since the DW has a stack of DVD's I had to pack when out an about with the old 5th wheel(I don't miss lugging those in an out, don't tell the DW LOL ) Furnace may have a duct loose, wall in storage area is pretty simple to take down, a bunch of us have done so to check such Even thought we have lots of rain right now I'm sure glad we do not have any freezing rain nor that other word that starts with a "S" Our fireplace works pretty dar well also, in fact we for the most part didn't turn on the furnace an only used the heat from the fireplace most evenings while out camping this past year Glad you like the trailer an hope to see you an the hubby at the Kz rally next summer Safe travels Chuck & Hildi
