Lyle That a really nice looking Rig , I do wonder why the rear stabilizer jack is so low, might just the way the picture was taken Now all you have to do is change your picture LOL Safe Travels Chuck Chuck, there actually =is= a red tractor that I'd love to have back in our stable. I grew up with a Farmall MD. That's one a fairly rare, and strange bird. A diesel that has spark plugs, starts on gas, then switches over to diesel when it's warmed up. I don't think I've ever seen another one and nobody in our club has one, and that's probably 500, or more, tractors. It's one of 3 I wish we still had, that I grew up with; the MD, a 37 or 38 JD G and a 40-something Cat D-4. Another family piece that belonged to a grand-uncle, was a 47 JD H. Was given to my cousin, who later sold it after we were adamant with him that we'd buy it if he ever wanted to sell it. Lyle

Well Lyle
I have a number of Red tractors, 3 M's, 2 that are 1953 parts tractors 1 that is 1948 - running, has factory wide front, full hydraulics, belt pulley, tool box (For Sale) 1 MD, 1950 - running but was sold, waiting on pickup
4 H's, 1 - 1945 -parts tractor 2 - 1946 - 1 waiting in line to be restored & one is parts tractor 1 Super H - 1953 -parts tractor
1 BN - 1953 running
2 Super A's 1 - running 1- waiting to be restored
2 Regular Cubs, both 1953 - one running (DW tractor), one waiting to be restored 1 - 1961 Cub Cadet Original lawn mower - running (I have the Sicle bar mower an mower deck for this mower) 1 - 2012 Cub Lawn mower
I just sold the one WD9 I had this past summer, was to big to haul around because of weight an am on the hunt for a F20 narrow, I sold one I had a about 15 years back an wish I hand not Ugh along with a 1951 H that had a dual wheel setup ...
I am down sizing now after a number of years dragging tractors around, we sold the farm about 15 years ago an now longer do any type of framing even thought we live in a farming community. Dairy's all around us an a few beef/cattle ranch's close by, but mostly hay fields near us but some truck farms out in the valley behind us the other way ...
Safe Travels

That's a nice collection, Chuck. Personally, I have my '36 JD A. Was originally on steel but they were cut off and pneumatic rims welded on. No incentive to change them and that's the way it was used on the farm, so that's the way it stays. My grandpa bought it used after it had been burned, probably in a fueling fire. Dad, who's 84, remembers it being delivered, so he was likely 5-6, which would put it in '38 or 39. My nephew, though, has a '35 BN, factory, that we've owned since new. It was delivered to PHX on a flat car with 4 other BNs, all within 20 #'s of each other. We bought the one, a man in S PHX or Tempe bought one and a family in Glendale bought the other 3. Those 3 are all still owned by that family and are fully restored. The also owned the other one for a while, and restored it, but sold it off a few years ago. Had we known they were going to do so, we would have bought it. Be really neat to have a "family" picture of all those survivors. From what we've been told, there were only about 1,100 BNs produced at the factory; most were conversions later on. FWIW, I have the carbonator out of mine for a cleanup as the float keeps sticking and starving the engine. Was hoping to have it running for a hayride around our neighborhood to look at lights, but it didn't happen. Next year! Lyle

Ok Lyle Cool on all the BN's, be nice to see all of them together I have a carb problem on my IH BN, just back a rebuilt one from one of our club members who rebuilds mags an carbs for the IH Chapter an only changes for the rebuild kits an not the labor We have what is called a Christmas parade were all the tractors have Christmas lights hung on them an placed in the wheels, they have IH, Allis, JD's, some ford tractors an other vehicles like Army Jeeps, trucks etc... This year they had 87 vehicles, my friends got mad because I didn't have any of mine in the parade this year. Instead I was a traffic Cop directing the kids an yelling at parents to keep their kids from running out an grabbing candy in the street so they won't get run over an then directing traffic after wards Ugh ... Missed a number of tractor shows last year because we went to the Kz rally, will miss some again this years do to the fact we are again going to attend the rally ... Safe travels Remember the Kz Rally this August Chuck

Missed your reply, Chuck. What I'm =really= waiting for is for our club's Case 65 traction engine to get back from Lund Machine Works after a new boiler install. I'm a steam guy at heart. :-) Hopefully, we'll have it for our Feb. show in Apache Junction, but I'm not counting on it. Still don't have the carb back, but beggars can't be choosers if they don't want to do the work themselves. :-) Lyle

ok Lyle DW like steam as well, we have a couple of shows up here that have a number of steam tractors, she really like's Rumely Oil Pull's but most of them are to big to haul around unless you have a lowboy an a semi tractor to haul them around Ugh !! Last year at the Kz rally they had a tractor show down the road from the rally, a large number of Rumely Oil Pull's, JD's an one lonely W9 international LOL ... Was cool to see the younger Amish guy's an gals running the Rumely's an plowing with them in a field behind the show. One young Amish girl (about 10 or 12) along with her older bother (16 or 17) was working the fields with a larger Rumely, then later was operating on a saw mill with a belt, really cool... I have to say it LOL, other good reason to come to the kz rally, tractors shows, large flea markets an tons of good food an fellowship Safe travels Chuck

I've love to come to the rally, but the organizers keep putting it on the same weekend that we have our family boondocker near Flagstaff. Since our 2 y.o. granddaughter keeps talking about staying in Mimi and PopPop's new trailer, we sorta have to go. :-)

Lyle Not to be the devils advocate, but you can always bring the grand daughter to the rally. You just need to keep her away from the bean nag board when ronc is up to bat, last year he almost hit the board twice, the rest of the time I was running for cover Chuck
