We are interested in purchasing a new Spree in the next year or two. Our concern is that our local dealer has gone out of business. The closest Spree dealer is about 3 hours away, we have been spoiled, former dealer was 15 minutes away. We realize that many non-K-Z dealers can work on warrantee items for the refrig, AC, furnace, etc. but what about structural/design problems that would be under a new TT warrantee? This could be an issue on the road too.....not as many K-Z dealers out there as other dealers. We love our 2014 Spree but we are looking to upgrade. We need to call the factory and see what they say. We do have dealers who are closer who sell other models of K-Zs....hoping they would be able to service the Spree should we decide to trade. Wondering if any one has had any experience with this.

Also you might go to the other Kz dealers an ask if they can get you a Spree, lots of times dealers will trade inventory or just order what you want Safe Travels an Check out the Kz Rally folder Chuck & Hildi

Thanks to all for your input and to Edd505 for the link to the Warranty thread. Lots of things to consider and check out. We really like our present Spree and have had very few repairs and they were minor. Now with no dealer close-by it is a little more concerning. Of course, it doesn't matter as the closest RV dealer of any kind is an hour away.
As I said in the beginning, we have been spoiled, our dealer was just minutes away. They were very accommodating, "bring it right down", usually fixed the same day unless a part needed to be ordered. Once, we were ready to leave on vacation, they sent a repair person to our house and got us on the road that morning. Unfortunately, he couldn't handle his business finances properly and is now out of business.
We did find a dealer about an hour away who deals in other KZ models, he claims he can do all warranty repairs and get the unit we like. We will talk to the KZ main office and see what they have to say. Last problem is we need to travel to a distant dealer or RV Show to actually see the unit, I will not order it without seeing it.

bluegrass2 1st of all check out any an all posts about the dealer you are thinking about buying from. dealers as I am sure you know will tell you anything to get the sale, but it's after the sale that really counts ... Look around their lots, see how many types of brand of trailers do they sell, look at their shop, how far backed up are they, how far out do you have to make an appointment if you do need warranty work ... You can call Kz, but all they more than likely will tell you is that they are a Kz dealer an are authorized to sell their product ... What you might think about is since you are looking at next year to buy, come to the Kz Rally an talk face to face with the Kz sales reps who cover your area, these are the guys in the know about dealers You also get to know the Kz family first hand an are shown the trailer MFG line up close an can ask any an all questions, the Kz people do not hide anything from owners, I an my DW have seen this 1st handle at last years rally... Also read the Spree folder an also ask on the Kz face book, you can get tons of information from both. Also look at RV Trader for price's an dealers who may be near you, again buy to me is only 10 percent of the deal, 90 percent is the after the sale that really counts ... Ask here an the face book if someone has dealings with the dealer you looking to buy from, most people here will be straight up with you if they are good or bad Safe Travels an again think about the 2018 Kz Rally Chuck & Hildi

bluegrass2 I have found most of the warranty items are parts installed by KZ and that part; stove, heater, refrigerator, etc, have manufactures warranty. A call to the manufacturer can lead to an authorized repair much closer, minor issues can be fix with a little DYI.

I agree with My dealer is 55 miles away, I had a furnace go bad, called dealer was told that the next appointment available was in June an this was February when I called ... I called Kz Customer service an was told very friendly that Kz was not on the hook for appliances the 1st year. Kz Customer service gave me the direct number of the MFG of the furnace which I called ... The MFG said they had a service center 8 miles from my house, so instead of dragging my 5th wheel 50 some miles I only had to go 8 miles. The other thing was they got me the next week an had the trailer fixed within a few days, less than a week So saying the above as EDD505 stated sometimes it's not about Kz it's about your warranty on things like appliances or furnace that were installed made by someone else Safe Travels Chuck & Hildi
