Question about the Norcold side by side refrigerator. It sounds like a fan is running constantly inside my refrigerator and freeze. The model is 2118 and it is plugged in to shore power. We have been here for over 20 hours now and it is still running. I know there is a fan on the back side that cools it but this one sounds like it is inside the refrigerator and freezer compartment.

I had my first run with my Durango this weekend and noticed the same thing. I contacted my service manager where I purchased and was told it was supposed to. Im not sure if that is correct, I know the one on the outside would to move the heat off as needed. I was thinking of contacting Norcold to see what their thoughts were too. He may be correct as this is my first Norcold fridge.

Calling Norcold is like talking to a brick wall. They wouldn't give me any answers or help because I am not an authorized service person. Good luck if you do call them.

I had just the opposite with them. Called about water leaking from inside out under the front door. I was told they have a kit to fix the issue and mailed it to me. Just some plastic with adhesive to be but on the back wall to divert water into the drain trough & out the back. 2 minute job once I figured out the orientation.

Just a guess, but it maybe that it is designed to run full time to circulated the cold air for even cooling in the frig. I see battery operated fans to do that on line and plan to get one for both of mine in the RV. I installed a small computer cooling fan in my patio frig. and no longer have frozen beer on the top shelf an not cold enough on the bottom, they are all 32 deg.
Just a thought.
