Do I need to light the oven pilot manually before my top burners will light? I have the push button electronic ignition but none will light. I am getting propane but no spark . Can I just light manually? The dealer wants me to bring it in but I am set up a a campground for the winter. Thank you.

Is the battery in the range/oven igniter? if it is, is it installed in the correct direction, or is the battery any good??
When the igniter button is pushed you should hear a rapid clicking noise.
If/when the igniter is working properly it will light both the range burners and the oven pilot. It does not matter in what order you light them.
The range and over burners can be tricky to light, they must first be purged of all the air trapped in the lines before they will light reliably.

Air in the line can be a problem with lighting burners (as well as having the refrigerator kick over to propane). I usually light a burner with a match the first time it’s used in a season and when I change out propane bottles. This helps insure the refrigerator will start on propane when I need it to also.

I have the same issue with my Durango, from the day I bought it right up until now. I don't even try the "click" start anymore. I had it looked at once by the dealer and, of course, it worked just fine for them. I just use one of those "clicker lighter" now.

I think we need a stove lighting class provided by jetzen, jetzen showed the DW an I at the rally along with some of the others how to light their oven's, once he did that the DW has never had a problem with lighting the oven or stove top burners Safe Travels Chuck & Hildi

Of course it worked at the dealer. But it is the first time I have tried. I will try the old fashioned way with a long clicker lighter. I definitely need an RV owner class!!
Thank you all.

Virginia, we just bought our 311TH10 about 10 days ago and I just got to messing with the propane on Saturday. I actually set off the smoke alarms when I first turned on the heater. Once I got that line purged (if you ever have trouble with that, just follow the KZ manual and you will be good to go), and I got the heat going, I turned my attention to the stove.
First thing, I can tell you that my oven pilot needs to be lit manually using a long clicker lighter and the stove worked fine with the igniter, but it took a few tries as I had to purge the air from the line. I'm willing to bet once you get her lit and runnin', it'll spark up for you no problem.

I carry and use one of those long lighters because I have found it easier than trying the spark lighter.

Does anyone make an RV stove that has a spark light for the oven. The day is coming when I won't be able to get down on my hands and knees to light that bloomin' oven.

Some have modified their ovens with an electrode, google it. Keep in mind that lighting an oven from above and not knowing if there is propane inside can be a real safety issue.

My Suburban has a Piezo lighter in the oven.
