The maiden voyage is not going so well. Our plan on spending the night in Myrtle Beach is delayed until Monday ( First issue is with our diesel truck that started experiencing fuel filter problems 2 hours into the trip. We did what we could on the road, the truck could not pick up speed on the interstate. Things seemed to clear up and the truck back to normal. Then a motorist alerted up to a problem with our beautiful new Stoneridge..smoke out from the rear tire. We pulled off at the next exit and realized that it may be a hung up brake and a leaking grease pack. We called our dealer who has been fantastic, btw. But realistically what can they do 300 miles away. they gave us the number for KZ roadside assistance. They will check back with us Monday and call KZ to work out things with repairs or reimbursement. The roadside assist people could not find us any help at all on a Saturday afternoon. So..we are spending the weekend in a marriott in VA. What a disappointment. Are vacations over-rated? Or leaving on Friday the 13th jinx us? Hoping to have the fuel filters changed out in the morning, and road side assistance to get us safely on the road to the next rv dealer will happen early Monday. Maybe I can see MB and my daughter by dinner Monday. Kathy and a stressed out Rick

Oh that doesn't sound good at all! Trailer brake is probably an easy fix. What kind of truck is it?

It is a Ford 2008 F250 6.4 diesel. It has a built in automatic brake system. what setting do you suggest. Our old truck did not have the built in high tech model.

Yeah!!! All put back together and singing on the road again!
Huge appreciation to KZ who called me first thing Monday morning to check on us and making sure we were being helped by roadside assistance and the dealer we limped to. A shout out to Restless Wheels RV of Manassas VA for taking us in and treating us so well and quickly getting us fixed and on the road quickly. To Deidrich's RV mart In Coxsackie NY for being so concerned for their customers even during a busy open house event. We appreciate everything that they all have done for us. And thanks fellow kZ'rs for their support.
Loving Myrtle Beach in our brand new Stone Ridge 36UL!
Kathy

Another confirmation of KZ support. That's the main reason that I went with KZ. Hope the rest of your vacation is awesome!
